Hilton Garden Inn Dayton/ Beavercreek

Bad experience at this hotel. What earned the two stars on my review was the very nice staff and the Honors breakfast which was made to order. Very good on that. The negatives are too numerous to make up for the positives. The King room we were given first smelled very bad, like a combination of old socks and stale popcorn. We were upgraded to another room, a junior suite which was very nice of them. It ended up that the odor was not as bad as in the first room, but still smelled bad overall, especially in the sitting room area. The toilet was dirty, as if it had not been cleaned in a month, you could see the ring around it. We found a tick in our room. the air conditioner unit also didn't smell good, and was super loud and freezing when it was cycling on. Not comfortable sleeping at all. The bed was on the hard side, and not comfortable. The duvet cover wasn't tucked properly over the duvet which made the linens very frustrating. We figured out the second night that the duvet cover was made to envelope over the duvet, and after we fixed that, we were more comfortable. The housekeeping staff should known hoe to do that. Our room wasn't serviced during our stay so we asked for more towels for the second night. But all in all, pay a few more $$$ to stay somewhere else and go somewhere for a breakfast if you want. The bad odor in the room was intolerable.

For a Hilton Hotel - the bathtub was functional but was damaged as was the bathroom door. The unit on the wall for AC or heat was loud and kicked off and on. The thermostat did not work.

Bathroom cleanliness was disappointing—there was visible residue and buildup in the tub, grout, and fixtures, along with streaking in the toilet and marks on the shower curtain. This wasn’t permanent staining, as I was able to wipe much of it off with a cloth, so it should have been cleaned before check-in. I also had a poor experience with noise. I called around 10:15 PM after loud noise had already been going on for over 10 minutes and felt scolded by staff, who said quiet hours had just started. When the noise continued at 10:45 and 11:00, I didn’t feel comfortable calling back because of how I was treated. Overall, not the level of cleanliness or customer service I expected

Dominic was great! Helped with everything i needed and helped as fast as possible. Would definitely come back wherever he’s here.
