Sea Marge Hotel

We have just returned from one of our many visits to the Sea Marge Hotel. We always feel very relaxed in this cosy and peaceful environment. The staff are wonderful, the meals excellent as is the accommodation and we are always made to feel very welcome. We will be returning for Christmas.

Totally disappointing afternoon tea at this hotel. 6 big overcooked hard scones for 3 people, smoked salmon in end bits instead of thin slices and too many stodgy horrible cakes. To top it all there was no tea type choices. Very upsetting for my daughter who had planned it as a late Mothers Day treat while I was in town.

This is a wonderful hotel and wonderful staff when we arrived Sam was on reception and we had a great check in and the lovely Karoline took us to our room and it was a beautiful sea view room and bathroom with a bath I am in a wheelchair but need a bath and synthetic bedding and that is what I received.There is a lift but it is a bit small but ok to get to 2nd floor as i can’t do stairs. We went to the theatre in Cromer and on our return the wonderful Haydn got me some fresh milk for my tea . All the staff and wonderful customer service makes this a hotel I love to visit .

8 of us went for a meal on a Saturday afternoon, got a phone call the day before asking if we wanted the bar area or the restaurant, we chose the bar just because of the timing. The atmosphere was really pleasant and friendly and the fire was burning which is always nice. The food was to a high standard and we was served quickly and efficiently. Would recommend

We booked The Sea Marge up for The Sunday Carvery, which we have been to before and is excellent. You can imagine our disappointment when we were told when we received the menu, that they no longer do the carvery, but a roast was on the menu. We both chose the roast beef option, the yorkshire was too dry to eat, the one parsnip was burnt to a crisp and could only attempt to eat half of it, the beef was tough with gristle running through it. This is clearly a cost cutting measure, we certainly won't be back for a Sunday lunch and judging by how quiet the restaurant was, a lot of others think the same. The best part was the apple crumble for desert. There are numerous pubs/hotels serving Sunday lunch, which is why the carvery set The Sea Marge apart from the competition. Hopefully, sense will be seen.

Great Hotel Staff very helpful, the Young Lady from Essex went the extra mile. Only problem was the WiFi very poor . Come on guys people need it in 2026.
