Space Hotel - Hostel

Nice and easy to check in, check in is 24/7 too. Clean rooms. Nice view. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Fresh and modern facilities make it an easy comfortable stay. Very comfortable bed in the ensuite room. Spacious kitchen allows for many people to comfortably use with clean fridges! Nice deck with views of the city. Only issue was night staff on check in were difficult to understand.

Its a really great place, stayed in a family room. Great location not far from public transport. It was really better than expected. Parking is the only issue, on the street metered parking. Would stay again especially if I dont have a car.

Close to train station, eatery and shops. Room was not clean every day.

It was way over priced for the for the tiny room, and hard bed.

Not a very safe place for solo female travellers. There was an incident that was extremely frightening perpetrated by a staff member where police were involved. I recommend staying elsewhere if you can

Firstly, what I liked most about SPACE was their efforts at eco friendly initiatives, the fitness space, movie screen and the comfy pillows/beds. However couldn't find the worm farm used for food scraps that was mentioned on the info board or anywhere suitable to dispose of food scraps for that matter. And would have preferred a reuseable cups option instead of the mass amount of styrofoam ones. Other than that any effort at being eco friendly is good. Unfortunately the free wi-fi connection was very slow and some sites wouldn't load. If there was a higher speed connection that would have been great, one included in the cost considering even a single room can cost hundreds for a few days. Also it was rather odd Cutlery came at a $10 rental cost. All in all, Space has lots of great things about it and the interior design was excellent (except the toilets didn't look very appealing). Location wise it was near the State Library of Victoria, Le Monde St where lots of Trams go that connect to Flinders St station and the Melbourne Central Mall which had Coles.

The bed and pillows were not comfy. The smell of the alley and room carpet stinks. They do not clean the room even one does not stay in bunk beds.

Location was really good, opposite the Melbourne Goal and close to city teams and Chinatown. Old building, run down a bit, and rooms are basic but clean.

Best hostel ive ever stayed at. Recommend to anyone in melbourne.
