Wellesley Resort

Location is remote, going through dirt hilly road. Rooms are OK. Sleepy resort.

We loved everything about our stay at Wellesley. Staff were fantastic, location idyllic, snorkelling easy with plenty to see and local villagers friendly and welcoming. Great place, kayaks could be updated, although I think we were the only ones using them during our time there.

This was a surprise. I was expecting a standard beachfront resort, but this one is nestled in a small gully leading to one of the best beaches we saw in Fiji, with the villas set back on the hill. Up the beach is Crusoe's retreat, with a real Fijian village in between.

It's a long transfer from the airport, BUT, you'll find paradise and tranquility when you get there. It's more than worth it. If you drive, hire a car, but otherwise, staff were amazing and hotel is beautiful. Take insect repellent!!!

Although the 4 km drive on a dirt road was not too comfortable we were pleasantly surprised with this resort tucked away in a picturesque lagoon. The manager was very accomodating and was waiting for us when we arrived after 9pm.The staff and food was great! We would recommend this retreat to couples or anyone needing a break from the rat race.

Nice quite location on the beach, beautiful tropical surroundings. Nice place to chill out and relax. Not alot to do except swimming in the pool that doesn't have shade until the afternoon and snorkelling out the front of the beach which is great, big reef right out the front. You can go diving, some fantastic spots to dive right out the front off the reef. We spent 5 days there and it was most enjoyable.

Very .... well pretty simply the best. WiFi would be the only negative I can find with the place.

The Wellesley was just what we wanted, quiet, self contained, great room, great beach. The local people were very friendly

We had a great 10 days at Wellesley, perfect place to relax and forget about the world for a while. Staff were brilliant, organised a hire car for us for a few days and a day tour to another island. Would definitely come back just to meet the villagers again, they we fantastic people. The only down side is the Australian lady, I think is the owner, is a very scary lady!
