"Great boutique resort in a wonderful location. "

8.0

Nice accommodation in wonderfully maintained grounds. Good snorkeling and swimming on a high tide. Diving in the channel and Bequa island is definitely worth the experience. Lovely beach. Excellent location if you need some quiet time. Lunches are ok and evening meals unfortunately are disappointing. Try eating in the village or at Cruesoes next door for more variety and quality. Walks with the friendly gardener are great. Would be even better if a few more activities were available ie. Shopping trips to Suva and maybe croquet, bowls, badminton etc. on the lawns. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Wellesley.

"A secluded and quiet adults only boutique resort."

8.0

We spent 5 days here and really loved our stay. The setting is very private, so if you are looking for a place that is remote and quiet, The Wellesley Resort is perfect. Great pool, good food, delicious "Cocktail of the Day" (thank you Henriette), friendly and helpful staff ensured our stay was all that we were wanting. We could snorkel amongst the coral in the beach directly in front of the resort, (goggles, snorkels and flippers supplied) Canoes available to use also. The village next door is very welcoming. Ben, a local villager, will take you fishing in the traditional way with nets, and even invite you to his home for dinner. What a wonderful experience that was. The gardeners are happy and willing to guide guests on various walks. Hilltop, Garden and Mangroves -- and reward you with a fresh coconut to enjoy afterwards. Ada and her staff are very warm and amiable. Vinaka Wellesley Resort.

"Relaxing and close to the beach"

8.0

A lovely resort, with friendly staff. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, however I would like to see the main menu and the end result increase in quality. More people would walk-in from the resorts just down the beach to try it out. Suggest a hire car to investigate the Coral Coast as the dirt road to the resort is approx 4 klm...a real adventure, great when you get there. The resort pool is fabulous along with the surrounding decks, plenty of space. Walks along the sandy white beach and a massage with the locals was a hit. Village people were welcoming with kava and dance and showing off their local crafts. On the other side of Sigatoka, there is a pottery village, that one of the local girls took us too after we gave her a life to town. We wouldnt have gone down that road as no sign, fabulous and friendly. Took in the snorkeling just off the reef , well worth it even with the swell. We really needed more than 6 days. Would recommend as a boutique relaxing holiday.

"Mellow tranquility"

10.0

If you want to chill out immediately, this is the place to do it. It's SO QUIET. There were no kids there during our stay, which probably helped, but it's quite simply the most mellow joint I've stayed at. Perched on either side of a small valley, the palms, the frogs, the terraced gardens, the restaurant overlooking the gorgeous pool and to be beach beyond and below - it's all just gorgeous. Suits couples who are big readers and swimmers, sunbakers and snorkellers. You MUST get Wellesley to do your airport transfer, they'll send one of their delightful guys to get you. Otherwise it's a 2hr taxi ride from Nadi.

"Dont trust the photos- wasn't like that at all..."

4.0

We stayed here for 6 days. It is a very quite and natural location with a amazing beach! We had some bad weather unfortunately but that just added to the peaceful surroundings we were still able to do everything we wanted ...... However.... The room appeared clean at first but on a closer look (on top of the shelf, behind the bedside tables, or under the bed) was pretty gross. Bathroom was extremely old and very stuffy, the shower head hardly let water out. When i asked for clean towels i was told i would have to wait until Sunday. Bed was nice. Food was good. Especially the Kokoda, but quite expensive for what it was. Staff were nice to chat with but pretty poor at service provision, just a bit lazy and over it. You cant have a cup of tea/coffee outside of kitchen hours (7-10, 12-1, 6-9) that was totally ridiculous. Why not? Probably because the staff were too lazy or there was a sensational lack of staff to fill in on peoples breaks. Heads up to management stop letting your staff play rap music with explicit lyrics during service. I know the resort is 18+ but i don't want to hear that kind of thing while munching on my lunch. The snorkeling equipment that is "free" is so OLD that you would be lucky to find a whole fin (as they were all broken/ripped) and most masks leaked- so take your own. Salon was lovely very nice massages and therapist. For the price you pay you would expect more, you would get the equivalent in Asia for 1/4 the price. Watch out for the TAX.

"delightful , quite spot... no kids !!!!"

8.0

Remote area right next to a traditional village on the beach. Great to meet some locals. Food was nice and quite cheap. Perfect place for peace and quiet. If you are looking for a party venue, this is not your place! Just a lovely, secluded spot where time runs much slower. Walking distance along beach to Crusoes Retreat as well for variety. Overall quite a lovely and enjoyable stay.

"Very quiet and away from it all"

8.0

Beautiful little spot on the Coral Coast. The resort is small and quiet.. perfect if you need to get away from it all. The standard room was very nicely presented and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend on booking transport via the resort if you are coming in from Nadi, as the drive is roughly 90-120mins long. The restaurant is reasonably well priced and the menu changes every day so there is always something new to try. The food is good, but not spectacular. The service is a little slow though, so don't expect fast food or anything like that. The snorkeling off the beach is great, but bring your own gear as the resort has some pretty old gear. The village next door is nice, and has a shop should you require snacks or drinks.. and the resort (Crusoes) 10mins walk down the beach will keep you entertained should you wish to see something new

"Hidden secret slice of paradise"

8.0

Quite a lengthy drive from main road to resort, but can be done on even the smallest budget car like we had. Would highly recommend using a rental car, as it is very isolated but set amongst very lush grounds. We booked a superior room, which was lovely including an extremely comfortable bed and 32inch TV with many sky channels. They are in the process of updating the reception and kitchen which didn't bother us as there weren't many customers. This is an adults only resort, which we enjoyed as it was so quiet and peaceful which included lovely scenery. Food wasn't that flash, but was tasty, the only thing I would recommend is to bring your own snacks as they have set meal times. Snorkling was fantastic, but recommend to bring your own equipment if you can - we did and it was worth it as their gear has seen better days.
