De Vere Latimer Estate

First rate. Lovely well-kept grounds, smart functional clean room, friendly staff, great spa/pool. Suited my stay for work perfectly.

Very hot day. No fan in room - took over 3 hours and several calls to reception before getting one. room cramped and not enough desk space for laptop. disappointing visit, will not be back

I left within 3hrs of checking in and drove 4hrs home after trying to call reception 4 times to see if at least a fan was available in the terribly hot room. That also appeared to be in the roof with very poor ventilation (room no 49). Couldn't even discuss at check out as at least 8 people in queue and one poor very polite member of staff on desk who had been the person who also had to chase several people when I arrived at 3.30pm as room wasn't even ready. Really disappointing as looks great online!

Receptionist not overly frienfly but efficient. Room was lovely in Old House. 4 out of 5 pumps at the bar werent working!! Surely someone can change s barrel?? Breakfast was good.

Really enjoyed staying here. Lovely hotel and staff. And value for money

May 24th 2023 to morning of May 25th 2023 - The Room was a decent size and the bed was quite comfortable. The shower area had a issue with the cap near the end of the shower fixture. My Husband and I were trying to enjoy a comfortable Anniversary evening and it was anything but, a noisy table with College kids being rude and obnoxious did not enable us to have our meal in peace. A lot of vicious jokes being made around our special evening, I left the dinning hall almost in tears it was an awful evening. My rating on this particular stay is only at a 5 out of 10. Hubby and I will enjoy a simulated Anniversary Evening at our local Restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Love the location, grounds and age of the main house. Customer service was impeccable. Was able to recover from jetlag and just chill for a couple of days which is exactly what I needed.

The room itself was very good, clean, tidy everything in it’s place were it should be and it was not possible to fault the breakfast. but the room was lacking. I have stayed in all sorts of hotels and De Vere portrays itself a cut above the norm, the more normal hotels usually supply face tissues in the bathroom, at least 1 bottle of drinking water and USB charging points built into the 13amp sockets, De Vere had none of these. So no I can’t rate it top. I have limited hearing, yet I could hear people moving about outside my room late at night, so sound proof was not up too scratch either..

Some staff were rude. Room was not properly cleaned. Spa is in need of maintenance. Some staff need more training. Rooms away from the main building (where the spa, restaurant and bar are) are a long walk outside. Bar food was bland (microwaved and tinned ingredients). Overall unpleasant. Wouldn't recommend. Parking was free though.

A one night stay following landing a Heathrow, great room and really modern. Bed was comfy, rooms are a little small but did the trick for what we needed. Only disappointment was the breakfast (for a few) most of the items had run out well before the end of the breakfast period, no bacon or hash browns and when the staff did cook additional items it was very limited and went before you could get to it - quite poor considering it was an additional charge
