The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort

The food is always incredible. Great and friendly staff.

We had the Christmas Buffet at King and Prince on Christmas Day 2025. We were very disappointed at the quality of the food and the choices presented especially compared to several years ago. Prices were also higher (about $120 per person including tax and gratuity) When you pay that much for a meal, you expect something special and extraordinary. This buffet was far from special or extraordinary. For example, there were only 3 dessert choices. It was obvious that King and Prince had lowered their standards. We heard several customers making similar comments. I know we will not be returning to the K & P Christmas or any holiday buffet and I imagine that we’re not the only ones. We had out of town guests with us and we could tell they were disappointed.

January 2026 -We went to the King and Prince Resort for a special anniversary. We travelled quite a distance, and it was a disappointing experience. The lobby, patio, and grounds are beautiful. If only the rooms were as well....The rooms were crowded and unclean. We had to lay towels all over the bathroom floor, because the floor was so sticky. Zip, zip zip! Had to kill some creepy bug, and the bathtub was so grey/brown from dirt, we only took showers. We did request housekeeping, but they 'forgot' us. The front desk was dismissive. There was so much huge furniture in the room that there was only room for one suitcase. I repeatedly had to slide my suitcase under a large antique table, pulling it out each time I needed to open it. Couldn't leave it open due to the bugs. The mattress was so old and worn that we had trouble sleeping. All for the "resort" price of $400+ per night! Also, be prepared for no coffee maker or microwave in the room. Although the resort is on the beach, you have to rent beach towels and or chairs from an outside company. From our room, we walked by the same dirty room service dishes and wineglasses left in the hall a few doors from our room for two days. Employees walked by and just ignored them. I contacted the resort before our visit and inquired about the poor reviews I'd read online. The lady said, "Oh, don't believe what you read online, this place is great!" I assumed they had just a few disgruntled guests and believed what she told me. What a costly mistake!! Believe the reviews. It was a huge disappointment. We left early and couldn't get out of there fast enough. On our travels home, we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express for $160 and enjoyed a clean, comfortable room with a refrigerator, Keurig with K-cups, and a microwave and a clean shower. The King and Prince has potential, but we will never go back to see if they manage to achieve it.

We booked a two bedroom pool villa. The rooms could use a refresh, but they were big and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We went in the off season, so prices were low. I'm not sure I'd be so thrilled if we had spent more

Beautiful location

No alternative for food on Thanksgiving Day after noon other than a Thanksgiving meal that was sold out and pricey. Elevator broke at one point and hot water heater also needed to be reset

Location and convenience

Room should some ware. Would have preferred walk in shower.

I stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. The room was a letdown - squeaky bed, outdated, bathroom smelled like old urine and mildew, and the mounted TV was awkward to see from the bed, rough towels and cheap toiletries. The confirmation email said the room would be ready by 4 pm, but upon arrival at 4, I was told it was a 4-6 pm range. The staff at the desk seemed a little unsure how to handle a tax-exempt form that I brought which probably every attendee for the conference would also have. The quality of the room which I paid a nightly fee of $329, was most definitely not worth the money. I will likely be attending the same conference the next few years, but will go elsewhere for a higher caliber and more affordable lodging.
