Bellwether House

Rooms/bed were very comfortable. We were very disappointed we were charged for 41.05 for amenities? We were on our way home when I got this notification. When I called and asked what the charge was for they said for the 4:00 tea,the supposedly complimentary glass of champagne at 6:00 and breakfast. I said so breakfast isn’t included in the bed and “breakfast “? Very disappointed that they had a hidden fee in such a nice establishment.

Absolute heaven! The service from our hostess Scarlet we received was impeccable. Such a down home feeling. Cappuccino’s any time of day or evening! Our room was so cozy! Breakfast was delicious! This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and I am spoiled! The beautiful tree lined streets make you feel like you are miles away from the city! If you are ever in the Savannah area, you MUST make this one of your stops! We will be back!

Lovely place to stay. Parking is not at the property which could be challenging for some. We did not receive the Expedia VIP gift…not a big deal. Colby was very efficient and pleasant.

Five stars all the way for Bellwether House. Located on a quiet, mostly residential street in the South Historic District, a short walk from Forsyth Park the property is beautifully decorated and well maintained - bedrooms and public areas. Our room (room 6) was spacious and spotlessly clean with a wonderfully comfortable bed, walk-in double shower and access to a delightful covered verandah. The inclusive breakfast and afternoon tea were a lovely bonus. The selection and quality of the food was excellent. Scarlet and the rest of the Bellwether team were excellent hosts and gave us some great recommendations. We have no hesitation in recommending the Bellwether House. We had a wonderful 4-night stay there.

This hotel delivered incredible service and a truly lovely experience! From night one, we knew we picked the right place. Check in was so easy, staff was beyond friendly and attentive (special shout out to Paul, who was super kind and provided truly over the top wonderful service). The room was stunning and had a lovely little patio table where we would drink coffee in the morning/ read. Beyond being aesthetically pleasing, the room/amenities were so cozy & comfortable (seriously - the bedsheets and towels were so soft!). This hotel is perfect walking distance to all the shops/boutiques. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will be back!

Bellwether House is the epitome of southern hospitality and charm. Matt, Scarlett and Bailey were so friendly and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the champagne sabrage, Bailey did a great job! We loved using the waltz out windows to our private balcony for a couple of rounds of Scrabble. The location is convenient to Forsyth Park and many bars and restaurants.

This was our first trip to Savannah and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The rooms were full of historic charm and also very comfortable and accommodating. Staff was wonderful…pleasant, helpful, personable and always asking how they could serve us. Would definitely highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We loved the location and staff were great. We were frustrated at the end when we received an additional charge of $70 for 2/ $35 nights of parking. When we addressed the hotel, and told them we didn’t park there, they said that was the resort fee for the tea and breakfast, but when we originally booked that was supposed to be all included in our fee. Their wonderful host Scarlett called and told us that she would refund us that since our booking was prior to their new fees, but we haven’t received the refund yet. Their wonderful bedding and furniture is great. Their staff are really helpful and their Barista Bailey makes incredible coffees and teas. Breakfast was ok, but we had anticipated a higher quality when we originally booked based on prior reviews. The breakfast felt like they bought boxed stuff at the market and masked it with fancy dishes etc. It appears they have undergone a transition in ownership, and they are working very hard to bring it back to par. Overall, we enjoyed everything and would have gave it a 5/5 if it weren’t for the extra charges at the end of the trip and a better quality breakfast.
