The Baywood Bed & Breakfast

A beautiful location ad friendly host.

The well treed and curving road entrance to the property was out-charmed by the gracious lawn and gardens opening to the broad blue gorgeousness of Chesapeake Bay. Then again, being greeted by chickens and cats on the front steps had an appeal. However, the friendliness and ease of the owners was also a welcome part of this property. The Inn is well lit with many windows and is nicely decorated. A wide verandah invites you to sit and relax into the view. Much consideration is given to visitor needs in terms of appliances available for use like a small fridge and microwave in addition to use of a charming common living/dining room. Definitely a place to return to.

The property was quiet and relaxing

This is a lovely B n B with a delicious breakfast, and a gorgeous setting on the Chesapeake. Guests must know that it is not located in Cape Charles, but only a mile or so from the northern end of the CBBT. We hope to be back!

Idyllic is the word; turn off the main road onto a tree lined drive to find this enchanting B&B. Be greeted warmly by the kind, caring, owners who clearly put in the effort to provide anything a person may need to enjoy their time here. The rooms, the grounds, & the beach all saying “ Welcome, relax, & enjoy”.

Mike was extremely personable, helpful with helping us plan our local adventures and the property was clean and welcoming! Breakfast was amazing as well! We would definitely recommend the Baywood.

Secluded, gorgeous setting with private beach.

Wonderful winding driveway leading up to the house. Very comfortable stay and excellent view of the bay. Full breakfast is a plus!
