Days Inn by Wyndham Denver Downtown

This property is right on skid row. When I arrived the police were collecting someone across the street. Most of the parking is not on the hotel grounds. This listing should come with a warning about the location.

Clean and close to a lot of options.

Room was great very clean and spacious had a concert at Fillmore and they gave me a room with a great view to downtown. The staff was very nice and attentive.

The staff were respectful and east to communicate with. The interior of the room was kept up well enough as well.

location is in a shoddy side of town that happened to have a punk-metal performance across the street at the time of my arrival. So as expected there was a party going on and the area also had some homeless making loud noise in the morning hours.

My recommendation is "Do not stay at Days Inn Downtown Denver". Checked in before midnight on 11/6/25. A large collapsible hunting knife was in view on the reception desk, a loud argument was taking place in the stairwell of the motel among several apparently homeless people. Shortly thereafter, I witnessed police frisk and detain a man in the check-in area for having threatened the other people with that knife. ( I was informed that a second police deployment happened later that morning 11/7. Police reports and security camera footage should verify all of this.) With many homeless people in the area and no security guard in sight, I told the night clerk that I was concerned for my safety and would not check into a dangerous place. I was then informed that a $159 cancellation fee would be applied 'that there was nothing he could do about' because it was booked through a third party. It was late, I was in a new city for the first time without a car, under duress, and reluctantly checked in. I later learned from management that the homeless situation in the area is not only outside the building, it is inside. This Days Inn accepts Denver Housing Authority funding for people in need of temporary housing. (see management email below) My experience was that this an old motel that has been recently superficially renovated and has the most minimal, basic budget economy accommodations one could expect, nothing that seemed to warrant a $183 one night fee, regardless of “market rates” for other hotels in the area. With the loud music from the nightclub next door that went to 2AM, even with earplugs, I had almost no rest. I stayed only one night. Staff next morning were pleasant and apologetic upon checkout and, gratefully, management later gave a full refund. I checked into the Warwick, which is beautiful hotel which I highly recommend, less than one mile away for a lower per night rate. My recommendation is do not stay at Days Inn Downtown Denver.

Heating device too noisy, and room very cold, no extra blanket

This hotel was great for the price! Rooms were clean, customer service was super helpful, and they event went as far as tk ship something to my that my husband left behind. 100% would stay again.
