Steigenberger Makadi - Adults Friendly 16 Years Plus

Property was clean, beautiful well kept gardens and golf court, dinner was delicious despite, kitchen and catering team were amazing; friendly, polite, professional and very helpful. Pool was very relaxing and clean with a wonderful view.

Hotel is far away from the beach, you need a shuttle bus which runs hourly and has a couple of stops before reaching the beach. The beach is very crowded as more than one hotel share same space on the beach. I had a bad experience with Check in , staff from reception ( his name was Amr) was not friendly, asked for reservation reference which I forgot to keep a screenshot on my mobile, I felt I was interrogated by him as I was checking in with my Fiancé in separate rooms as per hotel rules. I was stressed as I was unable to access booking app at that time for some reason despite me offering to share all other relevant information but he insisted on booking reference, I was about to cancel my booking and return to Soma bay however Mahmoud ( reception team ) was amazing, he was very understanding, friendly, professional, hospitable and resolved the issue within a few minutes. I appreciate his effort and help; thank you Mahmoud.

Très bon service seulement si vous donnez des pourboires exemple pour le menage de la chambre au 4 etage la personne n'a pas cessé de réclamer de l'argent à mes enfants. Par contre à la reception, dans les différents restos et à la piscine le personnel est au top.

Spacious room

There was a work vehicle that desperately needed a service or replaced as it would make a loud noise early in the morning. I understand they have work to do but using a vehicle that is well maintained so it doesn’t make unnecessary noise would be greatly appreciated by the guests.

The reception was great, the staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and the view was very comfortable and beautiful, and the main restaurant, chefs and waiters were friendly , shutter bus every hour to the beach which sandy , the hotel can provide you shutter bus to go to Makadi water world.

Concerning the hotel, daily housekeeping service, which does not fully perform its job. The only cleaning in the bathroom was the trash basket, without polishing anything else or removing water stains. The coffee corner didn't provide the necessary supplies, such as wooden spoons. Nothing in the room was polished, not even the bed was made. Sunblock accidentally fell on the table and mirrors, and they were not cleaned. An hour before checkout time, I left the room and forgot something then I returned to my room and found the housekeeping inside the room before completing the checkout and handing the room card to reception. Another negative in makadi, Uber app, which overcharges and negotiates very high prices outside the app, taking advantage of the long distance and the customer's need for a quick trip.

Absolutely outstanding hotel experience! We stayed here with our two daughters, ages 18 and 16, and every aspect was exceptional—from the delicious food and stylish ambiance to the fantastic location, top-notch fitness offerings, and delightful entertainment. But what truly makes this hotel stand out is the incredible staff. They were exceptionally attentive, genuinely kind, wonderfully funny, and very personable. Special thanks to Mr. Masry, Ahmed at reception, and the fantastic Kadou, the zen fitness instructor and world champion in Boccia. Highly recommend this gem! Thank you all for making our first visit to Egypt unbelievably memorable and for making us feel as if we were visiting our second home. Truly 5 stars in every category!
