This hotel was great for going to Sutter ballpark. We just had a 10 minute walk across the bridge. We were a little concerned about walking back at night but there were plenty of people walking with us after the game. It was also convenient to walk to the state capitol building (a 17 minute walk) and Old Sacramento Waterfront (right across the street). Our room was huge with a door between the bedroom and living room. The bathroom was also a nice size with plenty of counter space and 3 places to hang towels, unlike most hotels. It included a small refrigerator and microwave with an extra sink above them. We could hear road noise from our 7th floor room but my earplugs and sound machine drowned that out. We never heard our neighbors. The free breakfast had everything you could want, hot and cold (including made to order omelettes). The evening reception from 5:30-7 was a little disappointing. It was mainly about the drinks. The only food was crackers and cheese and some fruit. I was hoping for more than that like hot appetizers.

Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Great location. Friendly staff. Elevators my kids loved. Breakfast included. And happy hour for the parents!

I have always liked this hotel because it was convenient from the stadium and the rooms are very spacious, modern and up-to-date. I also love the convenience that the room I select has a mini refrigerator and microwave. Great extra plus in this valley when it becomes very hot. Families or couples can just bring a small cooler (waters, sodas, juices, sandwiches or fried chicken to eat later) coming back from the game or visiting the Sacramento area.

Some of the new meal options (compared to a year ago) on the menu was not that tasty or appealing for the price that they were asking. My steak had no seasoning on it at all. The day before I had a shrimp fettuccine dish which gave you the appearance of a very green vegetarian dish. Thank goodness I liked my vegetables otherwise other people would be disappointed in this dish.
