An extremely kind, friendly, professional staff, which is true for everyone. Manuela who is the best chief receptionist ever, Alexandro the corteous, smiling, handsome waiter, barkeeper, restaurant chief, Giuseppe who guarantees a great,fresh enjoyable breakfast service etc. Impossible to name everyone. Thank you Arathena staff for giving the best summer experience each year.

Supposed to be quiet and peaceful, but the noisy kids and noisy Italian couples ruined that. Last-minute discounts attracted not so agreable noisy tourists, unfamiliar with keeping a quieter and calmer amtosphere so that everyone can relax and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. Average breakfast and lunch. Rated a 4-star hotel, the quality and the variety of the menu are 3-star quality at most. You need to wait in line for coffee or water (from 1 plastic bottle at a time). One morning, at breakfast, I found 2 dirty coffee cups, for serving, which I returned to the stuff. No laundry service, not even an iron. Room mini-bar is empty, no possibility of making tea or coffee in the room. Wanted to take a nap in the afternoon, but the cleaning ladies made noise next to my room, where they kept their things. Dinner is a 4-course & desert meal of 18 eur, too much and not able to select both meal and price. Would I return? Not sure.

We had good time here, got an ocean view room with a balcony and it was georgeus. Good swimming options at the rocks but also a very nice pool area with bar. Short walking distance to Naxos restaurants. Also boat rental is nearby which I definitely recommend!

This is a quirky little hotel which offers a good experience if you take it for what it is. It is not outdated, just eccletic, and maybe not to everyone's taste, but if you like peace and quiet on the edge of the sea (and who doesn't?!) then this place delivers. The rooms are reasonably spacious, the bathrooms are modern and everything is very clean and well kept. Our sea view room had a beautiful outlook and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves lapping against the rocks. The service at reception was very good, we didn't eat at the restaurant other than breakfast which was good enough, nothing to write home about but sufficient choice to please most people. The location is a little out of the way but you can't have both peace and quiet and be in the centre of a bustling resort, so it's great if you don't mind a walk. The views of Taormina, Castelmola and Etna from all around this resort are stunning. Overall a lovely hotel with a homely vibe.
