Hampton Inn Elkins

THE GUY BEHIND THE DESK WAS SO NICE AND ANSWED EVERYTHING WE ASK HIM. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE FOOD WAS GOOD ALSO.

Location

There were several bus loads of teenagers there. They were in and out of their rooms early in the morning and again in the evenings until the chaperone stood outside our door talking to get them in both nights. Our room was near the elevator, which chimed every time the door opened. So, doors slammed and the elevator chimed incessantly early in the morning and in the evening. It was a waste of money staying there that weekend. Next time I'll look for an airbnb.

Hampton by Hilton sits in the middle of the mountains and forest of Monongahela. The spectacular and breath taking view is super peaceful while enjoy a drink or two sitting at the gazebo. The management and staff are super friendly, rooms are very clean, and hot breakfast makes it a perfect stay every time I'm in town. I highly recommend this hotel when you're staying in the historic town of Elkins, WV.

Comfortable bed. Loved the shower head and the body wash. Breakfast was good.

The location is excellent for giving access to the various state parks and national scenic areas

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed several cleanliness issues within my room that indicated a lack of proper housekeeping. These included: • Nail clippings found beside the bed frame. • Dried toothpaste residue left in the bathroom sink. • Old food left behind in the refrigerator from a previous occupant. • The room, overall, appeared not to have been thoroughly cleaned or inspected prior to my check-in. In addition to the condition of the room, the hotel’s common areas raised further concerns: • The dining room floor still had visible food remnants from a previous event or meal service. • Hallways and elevator floors were dirty, with the elevator being sticky underfoot. • Trash receptacles outside the hotel and in several interior locations were overflowing. What was particularly concerning was that, while at the front desk, I witnessed another guest reporting an unclean room and requesting to be moved—further indicating that my experience was not an isolated incident but part of a broader issue

They had Turkey sausage and sausage the two days we were there. I eat bacon but there was a good amount of other items.

It was a nice hotel. Check-in was easy. Nice heavy carts to use to put your luggage on. The room was nice, nice mattress and pillows. The shower was a little dirty. It was kind of hard to control the temperature of our room. Breakfast was good, but no biscuits and gravy in WV?! We would stay again.
