Hôtel de la Digue

The location is unbeatable. We could wake up in the morning walk 50ft outside and be on the dam for a gorgeous sunrise on Mont St Michael. The rooms were typical affordable european rooms so pretty small with small beds compared to typical American rooms, but it was exactly what we needed. It was a 30min walk across the bridge to Mont St Michael or the shuttle bus stopped RIGHT outside the hotel and runs frequently until late. You did have to call the day of to get a gate code for entry to the park, but they sent an email with instructions on where to call that morning and it was easy to follow.

Wonderful location!! Great Breakfast. Bus stops directly across the street from the hotel to the Mont!! Just wonderful property. The young man that checked me in was just GREAT!! Wow exceeded my expectation.,,,

Excellent location. This hotel had a view of the Mont and was right along water. Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, large room for a Euro hotel, and good WiFi. Only downside was no A/C (which is not unusual) but also no fan in room.

I have never paid more for a worse hotel. It can't be called a hotel. Flies everywhere, noise and smells from the hotel. A dolmen would have been a more comfortable and cleaner choice. The worst stay anywhere ever!

Very nice location, walking distance to Mont-Saint Michel. You can also see it from the restaurant. Nice and comfortable rooms. But wish there are air conditioners in the rooms.

This a great hotel! It is so close to Mont St. Michel that you could walk there, although the shuttle stops right at the hotel if you don’t want to. The hotel staff were very helpful and the restaurant had great food. The rooms were very clean and quiet. I would stay here again!

We were very pleased with our stay. The location couldn’t be better! The room was very clean, not luxurious, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom large. Our booking included breakfast, which was a typical French continental breakfast. We enjoyed it. The staff could not have been kinder. The shuttle stop to the island is right across the street, as was the parking lot for our rental car.

The only thing that saves this from a 2 star rating is the balcony in our room that gave us views of MSM. Outdated rooms in dire need of renovation. No elevators and no fridge in room. No shelf space in bathroom. No air conditioning and it was already heating up in early June. It's ok for one night in order to see MSM at night. Free parking and shuttle bus to MSM drop off point. Would not want an extended stay here.

We booked this hotel because we were already 2 times there before, hower some time ago and obviously changed owner. Please check my other reviews for other hotels to see that I rarely give negative evaluations It is incredible how this hotel can get three stars. The entry was really dirty when we arrived, and exactly the same when we left. Empty boxes from the vending machines were piled in a corner of the entry. The room was more scandalous small and the bathroom more an built-in cupboard. only one bedside table and bedside lamp (for a double room, never seen this before) We paid for this an ridicilous price 210 €, for which you can expect at least some quality. Dinner in the restaurant was, as you understand already, a mistake. As good as it was before, so bad was it now. On top of that we got a hot rosé wine, and only after asking for it we got an ice bucket Conclusion: avoid it, if you can't avoid it, make sure you have a room in the annexe, which are a little bit better, but of course even more expensive.
