Adele at the front desk was amazing. From the first call to book the large cabin, extra firewood and check out - excellent service. It is a little expensive for 1 night - but I had an Expedia coupon 👍 but totally worth it. My dad has a cane and it was a bit of a mobility challenge to get from cabin 8 to the restaurant and shop/cafe due to steepish paths or stairs so we used the driveway which takes a little longer and still has an incline on the way back. Pros: Beautiful cabins, amazing views and excellent service and the mountain fresh air. Cons: food is pricy and a little bit of mobility challenge. FYI-bring some paper towels and regular glasses. 😉

The heating was very effective. Sitting out on the porch was lovely. The communal BBQ was very handy.

The kitchen wasn't very well stocked. The wifi was slow. Very expensive.

We loved our stay so much; the cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. Brittney at the front desk was so helpful and kind. Beautiful views and walks all around the property. It was super quiet despite it being the tour drop off point for johnston canyon waterfall. Check in/check out was easy. We 1000% recommend staying here, worth every penny.

"Nice cozy cabin, but it felt smaller than expected and a bit dated."

8.0

Great location, directly at the trail head of a very popular tourist attraction (which becomes a hiking route later on). The cabin was cozy and it was good being able to park directly at it. There's a lot of other cabins close by, but it was nice and quiet at night.

The red cabin is really very small, making it hard to maneuver with lots of baggage. We were a bit disappointed when we got new towels after two nights but no new toilet paper, so we bought our own. The attached restaurant unfortunately deserves the mixed reviews - even though the staff was friendly - and is the only option in the area, so we've switched to having our own breakfast and eating dinner in Banff which requires some late driving.
