The hotel is unique and "quirky". But because it is older (and I was told this upon checking in) the hot water takes a long time to come through the pipes. The towels in my bathroom were torn and frayed on the edges. And, because there is not elevator, the stairs would pose a challenge to those with mobility issues (but the site does let you know that).

The sheets literally looked used. There was Jaír all over the sheets. Then our neighbor had loud music and called the office and no one picked up. So my husband ended up knocking at their door to tell them to keep the noise down. It was around 2am with loud music.

"Quaint place to stay."

Love this little place! The owner Wendy checked me in and gave me all the tips about heat and hot water since this is an old building. And the sheets are probably the softest I’ve ever had anywhere I’ve ever stayed.

"Not a comfortable stay. "

Heater in the room not working, hot water takes for ever, im not sure if others had same issue but the towels provided for our stay were still wet to the touch when we tried to use them, i would’ve expected better service for amount paid. Street parking only is kinda challenging when you’re dealing with 3 underage kids one of them being autistic and having to cross the street from where you park.

"Worse hotel ever"

How do I even start? Bathroom especially bath tub dirty. Towels are thread bare and don’t even cover your body. The worse part is that the hot water does not work. We ran it for 15 minutes and it was still Luke warm. The next day the desk person said to run in in sink first. Why did she not tell us the first night? TV remote worked in the morning it not I’m the evenings. Too tired to ask for help. The bed was poor quality and could feel it every time my husband moved. Fire alarm chirping down the highway all night. No one had the curtesy to check to see if we had coffee cups the next day. I had to go down to main office and wait for desk person to bring us cups. Really.? Don’t stay here because you can’t depend on anything working and person at desk says that’s just the way it is!

"No hot water"

The positive. Great king bed. Strong wifi. Quiet. Character. Good heat. The tv channels were.few.but then I discovered they had a box. free Netflix Amazon. And others.So we had a good night's rest here. The problems were little details. No matter how long we ran the water it was 4 days of cold showers. Another room had heat after 20 minutes. The sheets smelled clean but we saw human hair. The towels were not changed in 4 days and on the first day were wet. I don't want to be hard on the kind people running the hotel but with a bit more attention I would have given them more stars.

"Charming character hotel right in center of quaint downtown."

Historic 1904 hotel, lovingly restored by family owners. They could still make a few improvements, such as another water heater or two. But it is right in the middle of the walkable downtown, half a block from the best restaurant in town. Ask for a room at the back, away from the street. Best price is from calling hotel directly. Not good for mobility challenged guests.
