Candlewood Suites Airport by IHG

Easy check-in. In typical Candlewood style they had items for sharing (books, cookware, board games, etc). Suite format unfortunately did not provide for a separate room but kitchen space was nice. Not much in the immediate area so ND and restaurants require a short drive. Overall decent stay and good value for the money.

Nice and clean property. Helpful staff. Little pricey but it’s only because of the football game.

Every staff member had a smile and warm greeting for us. The room was so spacious, clean and functional. We were allowed to check in early and pick where we wanted our room. A shuttle to the Notre Dame campus was offered. No better way to say it: I am from the Deep South. I drove 11 hours north and found as much warm hospitality at Candlewood Suites in South Bend, Indiana, as we pride ourselves on in the South. We will stay there again.

The room very spacious an decorated nicely. Very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel on Hotels.com for a business guest. When the guest arrived, they told him the hotel was full. They sent him next door to another hotel, where the original price we had a guaranteed reservation for was not matched. The guest ended up having to pay a higher price, out-of-pocket. That's ridiculous.

The staff was helpful and overall fine for a budget hotel. I am not the kind of guest that gets bent out of shape by the carpets not changed every few years. But this place had the worst hotel bed I have ever seen. Mine had a big sag in the middle, and the box springs screeched every time I moved. The bed was really unacceptable- not because it was too soft or too hard, but because it was too old and should have been replaced years ago.
