I was on the runway ready to take off and my flight was cancelled. So I never made it to Dallas. Hotel would not refund even though I had just made the reservation. Not my fault, not the hotels fault BUT it’s crazy they make money for doing nothing.

Customer service
Our stay started off well, but things took a turn in the morning when we woke up with multiple bites on our legs. We immediately reported it to the staff, who responded quickly. We suspected bed bugs, but after a brief inspection, they claimed it was fleas from our dog. We've been traveling for days with our dog and have had zero issues, no signs of fleas on him at all. What made it worse was their explanation that it was "probably from the last guest." That’s incredibly concerning, as it suggests they don’t thoroughly clean or inspect the rooms between stays. This experience completely ruined our impression of the place.
This La Quinta seemed to be a convenient and safe place to lay our heads and meet up with family on a longer trip. The property is worn with some obvious maintenance needs but the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of parking.
The staff and rooms were nice
Not impressed at all. Upon arriving, virtually every guest had a pet (I don't want to stay in a kennel). Lobby old and in need of renovation. Some work was being done on the 2nd floor, with a sign saying excuse our mess, but materials stacked in hallway. My room had a very rusty lamp. I mean, how hard is it to get a $20 lamp without rust. Really old and unimpressive. Hopefully the remodeling will change this. Would not stay there again.
