The Vesper

The location was ideal for us to walk to shops and restaurants. The room had nice little touches like information on nearby restaurants and activities. Our room had a gas fireplace which was wonderful to sit by after being out on a rainy day. The breakfast included a nice combination of fresh fruit, breads, cereal and delicious coffee.

It was comfortable. We felt like at home

Only 3 areas. I ignored your first request because I did not want it to reflect our overall review. 1. Room has no overhead lighting. Difficult to read in the perceived darkness. 2. Bathroom window allows a cold breeze to pour in. 3. Bathtub needs anti-slip strips! Very slippery.

Great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Amazing vibe! Everyone was very cool!

The walls were paper thin, but I travel with earplugs, so it did not matter to me! This place is a FIND!!!

Location was perfect!

Room location was noisy and outside lights kept the room illuminated all night, making sleep difficult.

It did have a good location, it was clean, the room was large and bed was comfortable.

What bothered us was no innkeepers on site. We were texted where the room was in the house and the key was in the door but there was no closet for one thing. There was a pole but no hangars. I like to unpack instead of living out of the suitcase. So I tried to text or call Jessica, our Vesper contact, but my 5G AT&T cell had no signal. We were amazed that we couldn’t get hold of her till we went into town. Also, no TV which we like to watch at night.

Mold in the bathtub/bathroom was a real bummer, especially at that price point.

The staff is always so friendly at the Vesper. We love staying their during our annual Woodstock trips and are already counting down the days to our next trip.

The room was clean.

The room got to hot, the breakfast was nothing special as there was nothing hot except toast and you had to toast the bread twice to get colour on the toast, the internet was bad, they need to invest in a new toaster and a whole house internet mesh.
