overnight stay to help out with time traveling to Houston

I put that it has wifi, and that it is free because technically that is true. It was terrible connection at best and the hotel was empty so it wasn't because of a lot of people using it. The guy at the front desk was difficult to communicate with, I handed him my phone with my name and reservation number and he wasn't able to figure out if I had a reservation there or not. He turned his monitor around and it was right there, I was one of only 2 reservations for that night. We got that settled and went to the room, it's October in Texas, it's still quite hot outside and the AC unit was not running, the room was stagnant and stuffy. We had to crank up the AC and left it running while we went to go waste time at Walmart until the room was actually suitable to stay in, while leaving we noticed none of the rooms had the AC on so any other room would have had the same problem. When we returned we looked around to see the room and it was problem after problem. Stained carpet, furniture, bedspread, sheets, towels, and half a roll of toilet paper left, it's as if they weren't expecting anyone. The breakfast situation was questionable at best, food selections consisted of stale Little Debbies or fruit that was a few days past fresh. I went the cheaper route of the few hotels in Edna, won't make that mistake again.

The coffee pot had mold growing in it as it had not been cleaned in who knows when. The bathtub stood in water while you were showering. Finally, the morning of check out, the toilet was filled with some kind of black scum that consisted of a tar like substance. I would recommend that anyone considering this hotel, reconsider. It's cheap and now we know why.

When I went to check in they had no computer system up, took copies of credit cards and id and had them just laying around on the counter. The lobby not real clean, has unusual food smell, old coffee in pot, lobby chairs have tears in both seats, behind counter a mess, outside dirty and looked like trash piled up at one end, pool closed. The first room lights not working, fridge had loose wire in it, microwave would not work and carpet had lots of stains. The room they moved up to had a lamp not working fridge not cold and iced over and just plain crowded in the room with to much furniture. Bathroom not to bad but the safety handle in shower to large your hit your arms on it when moving around and the shampoo/condition left were only a quarter of the way full. The whole place just looks a little run down and not cared for. I am not sure if there was a price difference in the room I booked and the room I used. I booked room no smoking with two king beds and we ended up in a room with to queen beds. I will not use them again for the overall look and service was not a friendly or clean place.

The fridge was frozen and barely cold. The light and exhaust in the bathroom was uncovered and full of dirt. The door was hanging crocked. The staff was rude. We got locked out of our room the next day after having a reservation for 2 nights. Will never stay here again.

went to Edna to go to the races. wife got on line and made reservation for one room with one double bed at a certain rate. we when tried to check in we were told we did not have reservation. pulled out copy of reservation and rate and then was told could not have the rate. when was threatened with being reported for fraud, then we unfortunately got the room. in smell badly, the sheets had stains, the A/C dipped water and had a plastic trash can to catch it, there were dead bugs stuck to the walls and the pool did not have and water in it. WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE NOT GOING HERE. pay extra money and go to Best Western. next time I go to Edna that is what I am going to do

I have stayed here at least 20 times in the last 8 years ,on business travel ..The rooms are usually clean ...There is a high turnover rate of managers...the motel caters to working men and travel ers on Highway 59..Many of whom are Hispanic. It is a safe place to stay.It is very convient for on and off..the prices are reasonable.It has a very nice pool and hottub ,but it is almost always closed ,even in the summer.There is a nicer ,newer motel nearby ,but more expense.. Better values can be found off the highway in downtown Edna.

The refrigerator froze all of our drinks no matter how we moved the dial. There was no water pressure, but the maids did keep the room very clean.

Room was not very clean. There were spiders in bathroom light fixture and behind the entry door. Bathroom floor was very sticky. No cleaning was provided for our 2 night stay, but they took all the used towels the first day. We came back from an outing and wanted to take a shower to get ready for an afternoon funeral, and there was only 1 towel left in the room. They didn't even empty the trash or replenish the coffee packets or the paper coffee cups, so the 2nd morning we didn't have coffee cups. The bed was never made. Will never stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and it was the worst place I have ever stayed in. Hair in the sink drainage d the bathtub drain. Opened a drawer and there was someone else's underwear in it. The owner is the rudest man I have ever met. We asked what time the pool closed and it was 8 at night so I asked what time it opened in the morning and he barked sometime after nine. I asked if we(all of us over 50) could get in for a bit and he told us no way because there was no life guard on duty. If you stay here you have been forewarned .
