Rodeway Inn & Suites Salina South

Rooms were not ready, dirty, just was not comfortable, staff was friendly, but still won't recommend staying!

This hotel was so clean I honestly thought that it had just been built. The location was only 1.2 miles from where I was working, so it was very convenient. I only wish that I had not been so worn out from work so I could enjoy the pool, but sadly I was way too tired. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. It did take me a moment to find the sweet spot. Now I like really, really hot showers, but wow! The sweet spot...tough to nail down, one tick to the right was too cold (for me), and one tick to the left was actually too hot (for me). But once I found that sweet spot... amazing. The only negative things that I have to say about this place is... A) The trashcan for the room did not have bag in it. B) There was no single serve coffepot, cups, or ice bucket in the room. Other than that, excellent.

Room was not available after reserving a week in advance. Clerk look like a wino. Acted like they didn’t care. Their excuse was Room was booked on Expedia.

There were light bulbs missing in the room,. The alarm clock didn't work, the microwave control panel started beeping on it's own, when I went to the front desk with a request for more towels and toilet paper there was a sign on the desk that said to call a number for so I did and the lady that answered the call said that she had just left and she said she would would call someone to bring them up to my room however that individual nevered showed so I had to chase down someone else to get them. The staff looked like people off the street not dressed for or cleaned up for the job!

There was nobody there to check you in. Half smoked cigarette and lighter on the desk. The hotel staff area had door ajar, stuff strung everywhere. Turns out another guest said the staff was passed out in the back and EMS came and took him off.

Front desk worker was sleeping. We woke him up... he disappeared for 30 min and came back to sleep again. Lobby bathrooms were the nastiest thing I ever seen. This is a creepy weird place. I am in shock. I left in horror.

The area surrounding the hotel (parking lot/grassy area) were littered and unkept. People were loitering and hanging out in vehicles. The lobby did not resemble the picture - it was dark and empty. Pool was ice cold. Our room had broken fixtures - no coffee maker. The fridge didn't work. The hallways were cluttered and the stairway near our end of the hotel was marked do not enter. Again people were loitering in halls - apparently some men live there full-time. No coffee service and no breakfast offering of any kind. When we were leaving the following morning someone was sleeping in the lobby with a dog. There were transients lounged on the curb around the side of the property that same morning. Upside - the police made several drive throughs of the parking lot during the evening and night of our stay.

The house keeper had stuff strung out all over 2nd floor still cleaning rooms at 9 at night. There was a carboard box with raw chicken just left in the hallway right by the elevator and it didnt help as we whete checking in the guy was asleep plus the elevator smelled atraight up like pot just a very unprofessional hotel. So unless its a very very short stay i would go somewhere else

The smoke detector was hanging off the wall and disabled- safety hazard. The bathroom light was missing as well. When walking down the hall, I noticed doors that had holes punched in them and missing door handles. The walls were dirty and paint missing. It was not a nice place and I did not feel safe.

It was dirty, poor housekeeping and little customer service. They just didn’t seem to care. Glad it was only $53.00 per night.
