Hotel RH Royal - Recommend for adults

Arrived Friday 16th until Monday stayed in room 603 on the front. The hotel is situated in an excellent position for both old and new town. The hotel it's self is immaculate, friendly staff and the food was amazing a choice for everyone. Lovely meats ..fish and salad every night. Breakfast buffet was lovely plenty of choice. The reception is lovely with a wonderful staircase going up to the rooms and also 2 lifts available. I would certainly use this hotel again ... Thanks again for a wonderful weekend away

Staff good in restaurant. Breakfast only but catered for me needing gluten free options. Plenty of choice. Pleasant stay just meeting up with friends from UK.

Car parking was a little difficult under the hotel opposite. Had to drive past the park park and circle road to get to car park entrance.

Before my review I have to emphasise that we regard the Royal as our home from home and have also found the Victoria & Princesa exceptional hotels Having spent many, many breaks over almost 20 years we love the professionalism of all the staff involved in the restaurant, bar, maintenance/cleaning & reception who are all; simply the best. We always acknowledge their efforts with a decent level of gratuity and have been friends with many of the staff over the years. Having access and use of the Gold A/I at their sister hotel, the Victoria, across the road was very beneficial, in our June stay, should the Royal lounge become busy. For the first time we decided on having a Christmas break. So, once again, we went Gold A/I, at a cost of €470, and were then drawn to a sign at the bar informing guests that they could still use the Victoria but would now have to pay for drinks. We thought they’d hired a comedian onto their management team because; it’s farcical. Whether we drink in either of these hotels, they’re under the same ownership and our A/I contribution goes into the same bank. I made an error in the cost of the A/I believing it had increased, it hadn’t and I apologised but I complained about the “New” retrograde (to guests) rules in regard to having to pay for drinks. The assistant manager, from the Victoria, came to see me and put forward a typical company policy response and would accept our complaint. Even worse. This complete holiday package incl A/I did not come cheap and we have to state, the food for the Christmas Eve & Day lunch and evening was exceptional, phenomenal choice and quality and extremely enjoyable. Disappointingly, after enjoying the excellent Christmas Eve dinner we went to the bar to enjoy the entertainment and Christmas celebrations only to find that, along with half a dozen other couples, there was NO seating available, even the bar stools were all taken. As far as we are concerned we do not believe we received what we paid for and are extremely disappointed and let down. We are certainly not big drinkers and primarily use the bar of an evening and only have tea/coffee during the day along with wine with our meals. My wife mainly drank the zero% alcoholic drinks. To have the A/I drinks facility withdrawn at the Victoria is a real backward step and during our stay we spoke to many guests from the Victoria & the Princesa in the lounge of the Royal who consumed drinks WITHOUT paying for them. Love the Royal, but doubtful we’ll return, probably return to Turkey for much better value for money. We didn’t get an acceptable response from an extremely bias deputy manager. Pity some common sense was used before the changes were made. THE STAFF ARE BRILLIANT…….Sadly the Management/Owners AREN’T

Stayed at this wonderful hotel between Christmas and New Year. What can I say, we went AI, we'll worth it. Food was fantastic, premium drinks. Spotlessly clean staff go out of their way to make your stay special, nothing is too much trouble. Rooms a good size with everything you want

Hotel is great in many ways but it's let down by a few silly things. 1. Cushions are not put out on chairs every day in outside drinking area. 2. Heaters are never turned on in evening for smokers even when asking the bar and reception staff. 3. Shutters never pulled down when raining for the smokers. I am not a smokers but feel sorry for them trying to squeeze under a small covering to smoke ,they are treated like 2nd class citizens and it's wrong. Food not a great selection but what there is very good. Staff are excellent throughout the hotel, only fault bar staff should make more of a effort with snacks between meals and there should be more of a selection. Rooms are small but adequate cleaned to a good standard. Entertainment not the best in Benidorm and should be varied every 2 weeks not same acts every week. Animation team are a waste of time should get better ones.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times and we have always enjoyed our stay . The hotel is located close to the old town and easy walk to the beach. The staff in the hotel from the reception, bar & restaurant are attentive, polite and helpful sorting out any problems you may have. There is a buffet service for meals in the restaurant offering a wide choice of cold & hot meals. If you are a pensioner when you book your stay you able to a discount & also free wine or water with your meal. Why I like this hotel is that only adults over the age of sixteen can stay at the hotel. There are other positives to book & stay in the RH Royal which include entertainment laid on every evening in the bar area.

Just back from a brilliant holiday in the RH Royal from start to finish they couldn't do enough, from the girls in the dinning room and the bar staff also reception staff,food was amazing ny husband is fuzzy and he ate every day ,rooms are a good size and cleaned every day we had a walk in shower on the 8th floor,nye was brilliant champagne reception woyld i stay again 100%
