Holiday Inn Ashford Central by IHG

Turned up at the hotel to see it was closed down and was over run by immigrants. We had no email to say it was closed and apparently it closed months ago .

That it had closed down

We were informed that the hotel had overbooked on the date of our stay. We made the booking months ago so find this highly suspicious. Not sure what the hotel is being used for now but I would give this place a miss. No explanation for this decision.

We booked this hotel in January through booking.com upon arrival we were informed it was closed to the public and was in use as a refugee centre. Booking .com should have known this and not advertised it on their site.

It isn't open to the public as it is being used to house immigrants.

I made this booking and arrived and it was closed and the booking should not have been made🤷🏻‍♂️ cost a fortune and stress getting another hotel🙁

Nothing..the place was closed. We were not informed. The staff was unhelpful and dismissive and blowing smoke in my face while they explained

The place is closed. We were not told beforehand. We were not supported by the hotel to find alternatives, just told to go to another hotel which wasn't even affiliated caused further distress

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Received a 95 pound parking ticket on the last day of our stay, even though the car was registered at the front desk and we were still guests. Management was completely uncooperative and claims they are not responsible for tickets in their parking lot even though they offer free parking and the lot is connected to their building. Booked on 2nd March for 2nd December looked on their web site to see what meals there is there then found out hotel is closed phoned the hotel only to be told it is closed until July 24 no emails no phone calls would have travele d 300 miles to this hotel

Lovely stay, tend to frequent quite often when travelling for business. Nice and close to the euro tunnel. Always clean and tidy rooms, easy check-in/check-out and no hassle. Will likely be back soon!
