"a surprisingly decent place to stay - rooms and breakfast"

rooms appeared well decorated and comfortable, including the bedding; fridge, microwave, very nice shower and long countertop in bath; good towels and bedding; mattress a bit soft and medium pillows. room is across from swimming pool but ok - no noise. (room 164). Best breakfast buffet choices of all places we stayed.

Good location for Cody downtown and other local attractions. Room comfortable. Easy parking.

Our reservation through Booking.com was for three people. The confirmation clearly stated the price included breakfast for three people. The receptionist and manager were adamant this was against hotel policy and the third person would have to pay 22.95 dollars per day. There was no apology for the situation, just a stern reiteration of hotel policy. My faith was restored when checking out. On hearing of the issue Laura was very apologetic and took steps to provide recompense. My review would have been far more negative otherwise.

Asked to transfer reservation to an adjoining sister property (same ownership) as that had some outside space to sit. They would not transfer our reservation or cancel the holiday inn reservation. Meaning we had to pay both. They must have decided we were too old to make a future return trip to Cody Wyoming. Total bummer for this boomer.
