Villa Bellagio Amboise

Very nice, quiet, clean, comfortable, private apartment; however, parking was a disaster. Guest parking too far away. Not a problem when the weather is decent but it was pouring when we were there. The restaurant had run out of several menu items. Could be a 5 star establishment.

The hotel seems to be half finished and you are expected to park far from your room. The rooms are actually studios or flats spread around the grounds, which means if it is raining (it was) you get wet gettingbto the main hotel area. Had a reasonable dinner in the restaurant.

This is an unusual acommodation. It seems to have been designed by a committee that was not comunicating with each other. The inside of the rooms are quite spacious and well appointed with kitchen facities. The outside is a different world. You can drive to your unit to unload bags, but you need to then park out front of the main lobby. The drive to your unit is on what looks like a bike path. The path is surrounded by ditches. One car got in the ditch, but his friends got him out. Landscaping seems to nonexistent. Overall, a comfortable stay, but a puzzlement. Very few of the staff speak english, but they are friendly and helpful. Someone needs to work on the exterior of the project.

Our GPS had us up the road a bit but the hotel and staff were great once we got to it.

Good value especially for family with some facilities to heat up food. Near to Amboise town only about 10 mins drive with supermarket nearby. The only drawback is the car park which is about 100 meters from the apartment and during Winter it could be quite inconvenient. Overall good and we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed that hotel to visit the Loire Valley castles. Chenonceau and Amboise are only minutes away. The hotel exceeded our expectations with good amenities, a lot of space and a friendly service.

It is very comfort stay at Meteor Val De Loire. We have been upgraded our service apartment to 2 storey bldg., 2 bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. It felt like home there. Only the car park was not convenient because all cars had to be parked at the car park which quite far away from the apartment. They should build car parks next to each unit because they have plenty of area. Anyway, we really love this resort.

The only downside was that because it is in a new development, the address listed is not either in Google Maps nor Garmin GPS, both of which directed me to a location several miles away and but for the patient directions provided by an elderly resident who apparently has numerous Meteor Val de Loire Resort guests directed to his REMOTE address, I would never have found the resort. That being said, once found, it truly IS a resort, with it's own restaurant and other facilities. You do not get a "hotel room"... you get an entire efficiency apartment with sleeping, living, dining areas including a kitchenette! The resort is located just outside Amboise, literally down the street. The beautiful hostess was fluent in both French and English recommended a superb restaurant around the corner from the Amboise Chateau. I opted to have breakfast at the resort restaurant. It was what I had learned to expect in France as a continental breakfast (only with fresh squeezed orange juice!)... until the waiter asked me if I would like any ham or eggs cooked to order? I asked if he had sausage and eggs and he said of course, brought out a plate of ham and proscuitto, followed by a plate of scrambled eggs and three viena sausages! I forgot that "sausage" in Europe is more akin to the American hotdog and there is nothing akin to American breakfast links lol lol! It was appreciated and delicious nevertheless!

This seems to be an unfinished time-share that has taken to renting rooms for the night to caover the bills. Each room (actually half a duplex) is very modern and comfortable. And you can't beat the peace and quiet. The only downside is the location. It is the middle of nowhere. No problem if you are cooking yourself in the kitchen (however there are no pots, pans cutlery or dishes in the place for you to use). Otherwise it is a fifteen minute drive into Amboise. On the whole, it offers excellent value for money, especially if travelling as a family and need multiple rooms. The kids enjoyed the pool. I would definitely stay here again. It just takes a bit of getting used to being in an unfinished time-share that seems devoid of human life. When we first arrived, it reminded us of those fake towns built to test atom bombs .

This hotel was perfect for a quick overnight stop - we were flying out of Tours airport (about 30 mins away). It has a small outdoor pool - perfect for kids who have been sitting in a car for a long journey. The complex was quiet at night time and our room was comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all - a very good value for money option.
