INThe property was extremely well located and in walking distance to the prudential Center and Copley Square. Moreover, it is also very well connected to metro stations which makes it easy to get around Boston. Additionally, it is in close proximity to Back Bay station as well as the airport meaning it is easily accessible as well. The hotel also did have a laundry facility on the premises which was free to use for all guests.
The room that we stayed in did not have regular cleaning options or even periodic cleaning. The hotel offered us cleaning at an additional $50/per cleaning (on request) which we did not choose to take. When we checked in, the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. The drain in the shower area had leftover hair that was stuck and there was also a broken tile in the corner of the shower area. Moreover, the door of the shower area did not close properly meaning that each time the shower was used, water drained out into the rest of the small bathroom. Given that cleaning services were not offered, this meant that we had to keep wiping down floors with towels to make sure that the bathroom stayed dry. The worst part about this room was the toilet of which the flush made a loud whistling sound each time it was flushed. This was frustrating and disturbing when used, particularly at night. When we reached out to the hotel about this they said they did not know what it was and requested a maintenance team the following day. However, the maintenance team did not come at all and we were apologised to with no further resolution of this issue. The reservation comes with free breakfast with basic breakfast offerings such as cereal and bagels. The first day that we went for the breakfast, there was no cutlery and we had to get some from our room upstairs. The breakfast area itself was extremely tiny for a hotel that offers free breakfast to all its guests. There was no proper place to sit down with the food you had taken which became an issue for the senior citizens that were travelling with us. There is one small couch and two chairs with a small low coffee table making it difficult to eat from. This was frustrating as if there was more than 4 people at the breakfast area, the other guests would either need to stand or find another place to go eat breakfast. Overall, this experience was not worth the whopping $458 per night with a clear lack of service.
We stayed for a long weekend. The location was excellent and we found the amenities and room lovely.
