Bay Inn & Suites Troy

This is an old outdated property. The management is in the process of extensive remodeling and hopefully this will be a nice property in the future. It is also in a location that is not easy to get to and that is a disadvantage.

Very run down and dirty. Parking lot very poor condition. Sheetrock ceiling and walls in very poor condition. Broken furniture and sink did not drain.

Staff was very kind but the state of the actual building was not good. The area around the elevator was "under construction" i think. It had no ceiling and there was drywall on the ground in a corner. They said the pool was out of order. It looked like a massive health hazard. I felt very unsafe walking into the elevator that had a huge half finished construction site around it. The room smelt like an old hospital mixed with smoke. The shower was pretty clean except for the hardware like the drain looking slightly rusted. The water was hot tho! Did not eat the breakfast!

First, the owners must live there, which is fine. They are friendlyish. The property is always in disarray. I always book with Expedia and this hotel is the only one that comes up in Troy MO, so always book there. I discovered another hotel in the area and will book there from now on. There is nothing "Luxury" about the Luxury Inn. The "not hot" breakfast wasn't there. I had to ask to have my room vacuumed when I checked in. 1 star hotel at best.

The front desk clerk allowed us to check out 2 rooms at check-in. The bed was clean, and we didn't find any bedbugs.

The facility was in poor repair. The location was difficult to find and poorly lit. The pool was closed. The shower was stained, so we didn't use. My back hurt all day after sleeping on their bed. We also were not happy that, because we used Booking.com, we could not cancel our reservation when we were dissatisfied with the facility.

As I’m laying in the bed I happen to look over on the bed side table and there’s a cockroach crawling on it

Really no breakfast anyone would choose to eat.

It was a very good experience

It exceeded my expectations for cleanliness, although some repairs were being made which gave the interior a dark appearance . My room was comfortable and clean but needs some attention to caulking in bathroom and touching up of painted walls and nicks on furniture. I would stay there again if I should pass that way.
