Bay Inn & Suites Troy

Every time I go to Troy, I stay at this location. This location has been under construction for at least 2 to 3 years.

The location

Front desk barley spoke english then the phone checkout, they were so intent on keeping deposit that we got charged for a comforter that got dirty

Absolutely nothing

Their so called mainstream looks like the build is falling apart and they covered it with plastic. Cracks all in the walls. Filthy carpets. Everything stunk

No pool. Bugs in the first two rooms and the advice given to me by the front desk when I alerted them to the bug’s presence was, “Sometimes if you just leave the door open they’ll just run out.” Breakfastbdried out rolls set up on a cart in the lobby. Empty vending machines.

Convenient and decent

Bed wasn't the best and old as the hills , pool was not in working condition but was supposed to be under construction as well restroom near lobby

No breakfast available. A bit difficult to get to the property.

Less confusion about the breakfast. Somewhat in disarray.

This hotel is much like an army jeep from the 1930s. Completely utilitarian with absolutely no frills whatsoever. I did give them a higher rating on “Eco-friendliness” because they clearly do not clean in between guests, saving on water and other resources. Their website made no mention of the kitchen and pool undergoing renovations, so my kids were met with immediate disappointment upon checking in. I could go on, but really, no need to kick anyone while they’re down. If you need a bed, and insufficient black out curtains, this is your place. If you want any sort of amenities, drive an extra 15 minutes, and stay someplace else.

Quiet stay.
