Hotel Amici

Hotel Amici is very well situated off the main road and had parking available. It is a five minute drve from the Valley of Temples and only a few minutes from the centre of Agrigento, making an excellent spot. The lobby has a good modern decor and you can spend some relaxing time in the terrace with some of their good coffee. Breakfast is basic, but the cornetti were delicious. Rooms were spacious and had a small balcony.

We stayed at the hotel just for one night. We did not have time to even have breakfast so I cannot comment on that. What I wanted to stress is the great location. We arrived by train from Palermo and discovered that the hotel was only a flight of steps and a crossing away from the station. This is like the greatest location for people with no car! The bus station is also within walking distance (2-3 blocks). There is a bus to go to the Valley of the Temples right outside the train station and the rest of the sites are within walking distance from the hotel. The lobby is really nice. The rooms are clean and spacey, though the style of the room we got did not match the style of the lobby at all! Staff is really friendly- the girl that was at the counter when we checked in told us about the different sites in the city and how to reach them.

Looking at the pictures we were expecting something different. It's not terrible, but the room was very basic, it looks like a student dormitory.The staff was very kind, but I think you'd expect something more for this price.

When you walk out from the station, you already saw the Hotel's name. It just take 3 minutes walk. Room is clean and facility is standard. Wifi is not available at room, only available at lobby. Close to the bus stop to the Valley of Temple. It also close to the main street for dinning.

This hotel is right in the middle of Agrigento, and there's easy access to the bus and train station. The rooms were clean, small, and pleasantly cool, and the standard, though basic, covered everything you needed. This is very decidedly not a luxury hotel, in many ways it feels like a student dorm or a hostel. But it's excellent value - I paid something absurd like €25 a night -, and the room I got was quiet. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast, which was bland, flavourless, and consisted only of carbs.

部屋の壁の高いところに、明かり取りの小さな窓があるだけの、まるで牢獄のような部屋．外の景色は全く見えず、部屋には寝るために入るだけであった．ロビーも快適性に欠け、写真で見るのとは全く違った印象であった。エクスペディアの三ツ星とはこんなものと言ってしまえば、それまでだが。

Our staying was very nice: the hotel is just a few metres from the Train Station and several bus stops. Reception offers you a map and suggests what to see, where to eat, etc. The rooms are fine, humble, not for posh visitors.

We tried to book the hotel after recommendation, but the management advised us that they were full, but that they had association with various bed and breakfast places. We agreed to this, and were sent on arrival to a place which was in very scruffy part of town, which felt quite insecure. It was clean and we were served a small breakfast by a man who arrived from somewhere. When we came to pay, we were not given a receipt. Hmm. Not good.

Close to main street with restaurants and an easy short drive from valley of temples. it was clean and basic. Breakfast was not great. Very limited choice. Croissant, Melba toast and biscuits. Noise travels throughout the hotel. Our room,(110), and 111/112 were all under the breakfast room and it's impossible to sleep as soon as the breakfast is being prepared, with the noise of chairs loud and constant. Ask not to have one of these rooms.
