"Good place to stay in Agrigento"

8.0

Nice and clean Hotel. Good breakfast menu and very well located close to downtown and also to the main touristic area of the Valley of the Temples. Reception people very nice and helpful always looking after us. A little tricky to get to the hotel because the direction of the streets. I recomend the hotel when visiting Agrigento

"Location is fine for Train Station - not bad but.."

4.0

After a lacklustre check-in at reception (had spent an hour carting luggage trying to find the place as map was wrong at the time - corrected now) I was given a small room with a back alley view. Sure the room was small, but the bathroom was so small that you could not enter or leave it without bumping into the sink, the toilet or the bidet. Breakfast was just a number of packaged items and croissants. It is very close to train-station and buses to get to Valley of the Temples and for walking the town.

"Good hotel - great location"

10.0

Very happy with this hotel. Got the train to Agrigento from Palermo and this hotel was right next to Agrigento Centrale. Staff were very friendly and had good english. Room was clean, and good for the price we paid. We were there in October. Just a five minute walk to the main street in Argigento. The bus stop to the Valley of the Temples was just very close to the hotel. Brrakfast was ok too. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants a decent, cheapish hotel close to everything.

"Agrigento's Gem"

10.0

This hotel has everything going for it. It's centrally located, where just a few steps from its front door are Agrigento's numerous restaurants and Agrigento's shopping street, Atenea. Of course it's a perfect place to stay when you want to be near historical sites like the Valley of the Temples. Besides having reasonable rates, I was totally impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff; especially with the receptionist who spoke excellent English. She offered to place telephone calls for me so I could contact relatives who only spoke Italian; and then once reached, she acted as the interpreter for us. Without her help my visit would not have been as successful as it turned out to be. She helped me make vital genealogical connections with my Sicilian family and immensely aided in discoveries of my Sicilian ancestors, which I am now sharing with my American relatives. This hotel fit all of my needs and more, thus it turned out to be a true gem for me!

"Small but convenient!"

8.0

This hotel is convenient whether you arrive by car (includes free parking) or by train (directly across from station). If arriving by car it is difficult to find. Fortunately we had a GPS which got us there from the Autostrada, up a series of narrow, winding streets. Some of the staff speak very limited or no English-could be a drawback. They offered coffee and cappacino upon your arrival but there was a charge. It is near the center of town and the bus to the Valley of the Temples stop steps away.

"Good value for money"

8.0

Good location, close to ATMs, restaurants, shops etc. Most staff were very friendly and helpful, with the odd exception of one receptionist who just couldn't care less. The hotel is in good condition, but quite small with not-so-good view out the window. Family friendly place. Breakfast was basic, but plenty. Excellent coffee.

"Comfortable hotel near the Valley of the Temples"

8.0

On the positive side, the hotel was clean, very quiet, conveniently located, and provided free parking. On the negative side, it was extremely difficult to find, even with the various signs that were placed on a few surrounding street corners and the use of a GPS. Had I travelled to Agrigento by train, it would have been a very simple walk across the street from the train station. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, despite my poor Italian.

"Friendly amici"

10.0

Dont let the visual appearace of this hotel put you off as the staff make up for the dated appearance. Very friendly and nothing too much trouble with a relaxed atmosphere. We asked for an early breakfast at 630am and it was no trouble to them at all fresh bread and coffee as much as we wanted. The rooms are not much to write about but spotless with fresh linen lots of towels and a wonderful power shower to wash ff the dust of travelling. Air conditioning and television and entertainment form the local children giving their mothers a hard time by wandering off too far when out plaing, a true view of sicilian life. The location was close to the train station and the buses stop outside so ask if your bus stops there to save a walk to bus station as we did. Very good value for the price we paid as you cannot expect a palace at the reasonable rates but if only stopping over it is ideal.

"Good value simple and straightforward hotel"

8.0

Best of all was freshly brewed coffee for breakfast and friendly service. If you're driving, note that there is a small carpark at the hotel, but getting there up the winding one way streets is a bit of challenge!
