OK sized rooms

1. The beach was hard to reach from the premises and there are thick layers of seaweed (and plastic bottles) all along the beach that smell, making it unpleasant to go for a swim there. The location is quite far off anything else, with about a 40min walk to Paje. 2. They skimp on diesel for the generators so we had outages for more the 30-40% of our stay, not only do you not have wifi but more importantly, showers and washes do not work and maybe worst of all - their kitchen coolers/freezers etc loose electricity too, leaving food room tempered for long periods(!) would not eat there again. First night we ordered a pizza to share, i saw it being taken out of the freezer so frozen pizza from a supermakret is served - charging 12 USD! Most food seems to be this way. Breakfast coffee was room tempered because the heater had no EL. Eggs where okey, guess they have gas ovens. 3. There is a big local party every monday until 4-5am with most rooms actually facing the dance floor/scene. The clientele changes dramatically on Monday - would not bring kids. 4. The receptionists are not on your team if booking anything, trying to test your willingness to pay high prices before asking «what would you like to pay» if you tell them its double what you paid last time…

The view was stunning. The infinity pool was a delight and made the stay worth it. It wasn’t too far a walk to an accessible beachfront which was good. The cleaning staff were very pleasant as well as reception and the guard staff. Suleiman was a great help and we appreciated how lovely he was from the moment we arrived.

When we arrived though, our room was horrible. The shower was a mess, water everywhere, no drainage and a horrific scent. Almost smelt like it would make you ill. We were happy to be moved to a more modern well kept room and grateful that staff made that move easy and quick. In the new room, however there was nowhere to hang towels and it felt like the room wasn’t ready to be slept in. The electricity situation was also a major inconvenience. I understand this was an issue across the whole area but I feel the hotel should’ve been more prepared. The restaurant was way below par. Bar staff were slow and not attentive despite there being a few of us at the hotel. Very few food options and everything took forever. There was also a massive party on one of the nights we were there. I wish we would’ve been told this when we booked. I understand it’s a restaurant but the volume was abnormally high for a place where there are guests speaking.

We did not receive the room we had originally requested, however the hotel were able to provide an alternative which I believe was an upgrade. The breakfast was ok, just need to serve real coffee from machine (first world problem).

Is was very quiet at night, apart from party night. I expect that was because there is a lot of honey mooners :)

Grat Location

My wife and I checked out after one day although we had planned (and paid) to stay for 4 days. Upon arrival, neither the safe nor the door to our room were possible to be locked. After changing rooms on request, we had to find out that the bed sheets had not been cleaned (traits of make up, unidentifiable stains etc.). We need to ask the staff to have them changed only to realize that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all (dead cockroaches in the room). In addition to that, we have been unable to sleep last night as the staff (not guests) has quite loud around the rooms. Last but not least, we had been warned (after booking) that there would be a party on Mondays but hadn’t been informed that our room would basically exiting on the dance floor.

the view, the pool, the beach. a couple of staff members (the girl who tried to help me with change, and another guy at reception) were nice. the others they just look at you. there is a real lack of communication with the guests, sense of welcoming, service, attention,...

everything else. Service is super slow. breakfast was at 7am, I came at around 7h40, they were cleaning the floor. nobody explains how it works (buffet/menu) you need to ask. I was the only one and had to wait for 15min for a plain omelet 2 sausages and toasted bread. I mean... the AC was too hot despite my attempts to change the temperature and all. they had a party until 3am in the morning my room was literally in front of the DJ booth, I couldn't sleep. if you are not into parties, avoid staying there on Mondays. I booked a sea view room, don't expect a sea view from the room, it's outside the room. curtains are too small for full privacy and blackout

Nice staff, amazing views. Only downside is loud music through monday nights but we were prepared and booked elsewhere for the night but it'd be great if you want to party.
