Clarion Inn New London - Mystic

The property is run down, not clean and in desperate need of care. The hall wreaked of weed every day, and at night it was unbearable. Random people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours of the night. Windows dirty, walls marked up, dents in kitchenette appliances, food in hallways, and hotel had no record of reservations made and paid for on line. Reservations were directed through VRBO for some reason and even after showing desk staff receipts and confirmation took an hour to finally be assigned a room. The manager was very kind and apologetic but the hotel was a terrible disappointment to the point we checked out a day early and willingly forfeited our $ to move to a decent accommodation.

Very quiet and affordable. The bed was comfortable and the TV had adequate stations. The heat worked very well. The staff was very welcoming. I will definitely stay here again, this hotel has seen its good and bad periods over the years, upward swing time for sure!

The Clarion name is on the back of the hotel and Regency is on the front of the hotel. When you use the gps and arrive at the hotel you'll think your at the wrong hotel, the color of the hotel is different from the color on the internet.The receptionist didn't have proper customer service skills. The hallway was dirty and cold. The room smelled like cigarette smoke but it clearly states it's a "smoke free" property. The people that was in the room across from us was very noisy they were letting the door slam, going in and out of their room all time of night, talking loud. The hotel clearly needs some improvements.The kitchen staff was very nice Ms Santa and Mr. Pedro

It was ok not very clean or friendly

Simple, straightforward hotel. Property was clean and well maintained. Easy parking, easy access to highway. On-site restaurant was small but ok. Would stay again.

As soon as I stepped in, dead cockroaches. Place looks like it was used to house homeless people in the area. Never again.

staff at front desk not friendly,door to the pool building was not locked and no key card was nessary to get in. worst coffee i ever had, tasted like they ran the grinds through twice. club chair in room was jammed into the corner making it hard to exit bed on one side.would never stay there again.

We reserved an efficiency, gave us a handicapped accessible room without asking, unwilling to provide towels when asked, WiFi did not work. Staff was not customer friendly in the least. Breakfast looked unappetizing so we skipped the offering. We have a long list of disappointments. Expedia should take this location off their list.

Our stay was fine but we couldn’t use the indoor pool. The pool area had no heat so the room was cold and so was the water. The hot tub had been paved over also.

No hot water. The shower was lukewarm at best. Hallways and some rooms smell of stale old cigarette smoke. There was a cross country team staying and trying to eat as a team in the breakfast room that wasn't being used in the night time and were told that they couldn't bring their own food in and eat at the tables. Very disorganized front desk and a manager(?) in the bar lounge area that kicked the team out acted as if everyone owed him the world. Will never give them any more patronage.
