The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm

The Inn is a beautifully upgraded and maintained vintage lodge that has retained much if its historic character. We did not have the opportunity to dine here, but a local friend tells us the restaurant is excellent.

The housekeeper did a good job cleaning my room daily, I travel with a lot of stuff. The restaurant was very good as was the service!

Charming, beautiful historic buildings, surroundings, and rooms. Loved having an upper balcony to sit outside. I learned, on our last day, of a pond and hiking path across the road but wish staff had made this known so i could have utilized the trail more. The tavern was a wonderful place to relax and spend time reading etc. One night there was live music, a nice surprise. The breakfasts were very tasty with lots of choices.

The inn hosted a large event while there. Inn resources were diverted to support the event. We could neither have a cocktail in the lounge, nor eat in the restaurant that evening. In the morning, coffee is not available until 7:30 and breakfast at 8:00. A bit late for us. Beyond this, we never felt welcome. The other couples in our party felt the same. The inn is not without the New England charm you would hope to find. Our suite had recently been updated and was comfortable. A premium price without the premium experience.

Good location and nice grounds. All the staff was super friendly. The room was just fine -- clean and tidy and within the expectation one would have for an historic inn. What really shined was the restaurant. By all means make a reservation and have dinner there. Their food sources are amazing. I had a sirloin that was as tasty as you would hope from a much better cut. My daughter's filet was outstanding. The cuts of beef were far above usual restaurant grade. All the other food was equally remarkable. Breakfast (included) was also far beyond expectations. Congrats to the owner and kind staff for making this a wonderful place to stay.

Quaint inn. Just what I was looking for and very accommodating. Though I arrived my first night after the front desk clerk left, she left the key and a map for where to locate my room in an envelope.

Very comfortable rooms, bedding and great AC for the hot weather! Friendly staff greeted us when we entered and left and the wait staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was a great treat. Very fluffy eggs and a variety of items to choose from. Would recommend and plan on returning.

This was our third visit. In general the stay was good. The people who work at the inn are really friendly, helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was delicious and we ate there two nights. The morning breakfast buffet is good. The significant negative is the mattress in our guest room (#17) was way too soft and uncomfortable and I think needs to be replaced.

Our first time in Vermont and we are certain we could not have found a better place to stay. The Inn was better than described and even more beautiful in person. The room and bed where extremely comfortable. The breakfast was so good, some of the best scrambled egg I have ever had. When we are back in that area we will stay again. If you are looking for New England charm this is the place!
