Hotel The Prime Balaji Deluxe, City Centre, With Free Airport Pickup

From the get go the room/bathroom was dirty. Dust everywhere due to there being ongoing renovations with constant clanging and banging from around 8am to 8.30pm daily. I requested to change room and reception said they would deep clean the 2nd room first. I then shifted rooms - noticing the stairwell and elevator were VERY dirty (sorry now that i did not take pictures). In this room the kettle was broken and requested a replacement and room full of dust. Although i was very unhappy I decided to tough things out as it was only 2.5days that i needed to stay. The next day around 10.30am i was told in no uncertain terms to pack my things i was moving to another hotel !!! I was about to head out the door, but asked to look at this hotel first, which i did. City Pride about 50 meters away. I paid for the first night - which i said to Vevek? i really think this should have been complimentary due to all the inconvenience now moving a second time - which fell conveniently on deaf ears. I moved hotels which was MUCH better and should have been the case in the first instance as this hotel is owned by the same people and cost the same as well - at least that was the information given. Although the issues were resolved i feel that should this hotel chain really care and want to give good customer service, i should have been directed to stay at City Pride upon my arrival and Prime Balaji Deluxe should not take bookings while doing major renovations like this. City Pride room was very nice - breakfast just ok.

I was allowed to check-in earlier and they let me use free airport drop off instead of pick up. I felt safe and staff members were polite.

The room itself was pretty comfortable. The AC and my second room worked very well. I was told there are good AC rooms and bad AC rooms and I was originally put in a bad AC room. So that might be something to ask about. Nice hot water. Good water pressure.

There is extensive ongoing construction. The first room that I was in the AC didn't work and someone was banging and drilling into the wall right next to my room so they moved me to a new room and the next day the construction seemed to move right to me again. I went down and talked to the guy at the front desk and he said it's not a problem. The construction's on the second floor you're on the 3rd. I explained to him that I was in room 309 and when I went downstairs to room 209 somebody was drilling into the ceiling AKA my floor and every time I asked they said five more minutes. This continued for several hours. Breakfast was also canceled one of the days and they brought me a plate of cold food to my room instead. And when I asked to extend and inquired about a lower price. I was told that this was the nicest room I would find and anything else I found in the area would not be clean. I am now in a much nicer, modern, quieter, good AC, and comfortable room with breakfast room service included for less money. I think the room may be nice when they finish, but until the construction is done I would not advise staying here. And I definitely would not pay the full price for the room while the work is being done.

Almost everything about the hotel is simply outstanding. They say that old is gold and this hotel proves the saying by maintaining its legacy. The food, cleanliness, staffs' behaviour, almost everthing is exceptional. Most importantly, The hotel is very safe for a female solo traveller as well.

Special Mention (Anchit, Brij, & Night Manager Pathak): A massive thank you to Anchit (HOST) Brij, and the Night Manager, Mr. Pathak! They made our stay incredibly comfortable, smooth, and friendly. Their professional yet warm approach made a huge difference, especially during the late hours. Spotless Cleaning: The cleanliness of the hotel is flawless. The rooms and common areas are meticulously maintained, which gave us great peace of mind. Ultimate Comfort & Excellent A/C: The beds were extremely comfortable, allowing for a great night's sleep. Furthermore, the A/C cooling was fantastic—perfectly regulated and a refreshing escape from the outside heat.
