Odd smell

My family and I have stayed at many La Quinta properties over the years and this one was unfortunately one of the lowest quality ones we've stayed at. The carpet in the hallways was old, dirty, and beat up looking, as were the walls. The rooms were not cleaned well, lots of hair and various debris on the bathroom floor, mold on the walls-- the carpet in the room was very dirty with an obvious trail in "high traffic areas". The curtains in my room were literally shredded to ribbons and instead of replacing them, the strips of fabric were just tied in knots. One of the two rooms we booked had a door that was literally falling off the hinges and had to be lifted up in order to make the door close and the locks latch (we didn't say anything to staff as we were exhausted from traveling all day and just wanted to rest). The worst part of this experience was that there was construction that began around 7-8am that we were not notified of before booking. There was signage on property, but no attempt was made to notify me before my reservation was made.

Nice apartment Very clean The only bad thing is that the bed so very bad springs popping out On the other note sofa was really comfortable.

I didn’t like having to ask for wash cloths multiple times only to have our towels changed every day for our 3-night stay w/o replacing what we had, incl. our bath mat, so we had to ask again. I left a note on the bathroom counter to please just leave the used towels & we would re-use them, but no one paid any attention to that. I also didn’t like how dirty the hallway carpets were & stairs carpets & there were a lot of worn places on the walls around the edges that needed paint to cover chips, etc. I know they are remodeling right now, which is good b/c the whole property needs it. Also, the set up of our 2-queen suite room s/have been flipped. The family member on the sofa sleeper froze during the night b/c the rest of us on the beds were too far away from the AC, so we had it on high but were still hot…made it difficult to sleep well for all.

This property should have stated that it was being remodeled. The hotel looks dirty, it’s old and out dated, half the lights in my room didn’t work. The hallway was so hot it was ridiculous! Not what the normal La Quintas I’ve stayed at before.

Rooms STINK like OLD WATER. And, they are humid regardless of the NOISY AIRCONDITIONER. POOL IS DIRTY AND MOLDY. The door that leads to the MOLDY Pool would not let us back in so doesn’t work. We were not notified that the pull was Nasty when we came in nor when we passed the front desk and when we went to disclose to the front desk “she stated she completely forgot. The place is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THE ELEVETOR (only one elevator for the entire place) needs servicing. LIGHTS ARE NOT SYNCED IN EITHER OF THE TWO ROOMS I BOOKED. Owners feedback when we called them to see what could be done. When Tracy (The Hotel Mgr) called “Andy” (Hotel Owner) to see what could be done, he stated that we can check out (mind you it was already 9:08pm) and we could go wherever we want to go and that there would be no charge. Bro, it’s already 9:00 pm. You serious. Just kick us out then. Terrible service. Shampoo bottles are half full and probably recycled. This place is a disgrace to the hotel industry.

Great but currently doing construction on the property

It was an overall moderate experience. There was remodeling going on that we were made unaware of until we arrived at the property. They began construction early in the morning, often waking us up. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our experience wasn’t very pleasant. The room lacked enough towels and necessities, such as toilet paper among other things. Front desk personnel was mixed, with the individual upon checkout watching TV eating chips instead of being attentive. No laundry bags.
