HVAC was hard to keep at a comfortable temperature. Cycled hot, then cold.

Breakfast decent - they kept it very clean - almost too clean LOL I was still serving myself potatoes and I put the spoon down for a moment to adjustthe dish in my hand, and attendant came over ) and straightened the spoon because I had put it down crooked I guess. I picked it back up, opened the lid, continued to serve myself. I made a hot cocoa for my daughter to take back to the room. Placed it on the counter near the hot cocoa and moved one counter over to get a paper towel or something, and the cocoa with the lid on it was thrown out immediately, no big deal just made a fresh one. I understand you want to keep it clean but give us a second to move around! The front desk staff was very helpful when I informed them there was no shower gel at all not even a squirt that she did offer to replace but I didn't want to disturb my kids who were still upstairs sleeping. She also offered to get a new blow dryer for us as ours snap crackled and blue smoke so I turned it off and unplugged it and didn't try again.

Oh whoops I guess I put some of that up there Bathroom had an odd order a couple of times but not steadily. Multiple hairs on bathroom floor behind the door when we arrived and a hair on the gel in the shower, but nothing major We were not thrilled that directly outside our window was a parking garage.. as we could hear people chatting in there right through our window and there was no view whatsoever except the cement of the parking garage and the vehicles inside.. but we are in the middle of the city and certainly did not expect any astounding views

Chk in clerk was a bit abrupt, unfriendly & did not say welcome just asked for “ID” then barked the information to me like an auctioneer - fast and robot-like. She handed us two bottles of water (my husband was hoping for a freshly baked cookie! 😉) Parking (valet) is $38 not mentioned on Booking.com There is a surface lot due east w/24 hour attendant that charges $30. Nice spacious room, felt elegant. Nice comfy couch, coffee table & TV. Large bathroom. Nice views out the windows of the downtown area. No refrigerator. Good breakfast. Liked the dining room and the room next to it that had some interesting items (letter box, hurricane flood level markers from previous years, a church sign). The dining room had a high ceiling and windows. This led me to research & find out later (after checkout) that part of the site used to be the Old Colony Bank (c. 1836) & more recently a chapel & friary for St. Francis Church. This hotel won a Rhody design award for historical preservation & rehabilitation. In Providence Business News (PBC) an article dated 10/19/09 stated, in part, “The notable former owners are honored on the mezzanine level (second floor) both in name and style. The 450-square-foot Old Colony Room boasts the original ornately-framed mirror above the decadent wood fireplace with traditional crown molding and wood paneling throughout. The 440-square-foot St. Francis Room features the antique chandeliers from the former church and has been upgraded with a wet bar area for intimate gatherings.” Maybe I missed the plaque commemorating this honor but I would have loved to see the unique architectural items on mezzanine level noted in the news article I found above on the internet about this hotel! Conveniently located near & within walking distance to the first Baptist Church in the USA, Brown University, “I am Still Here” mural, Kennedy plaza, etc. The State House is not far by car, as well. Asia, desk clerk, was friendly at check-out.

Nous avons aimé le cadre l'emplacement le confort la vue surtout et la grandeur de la chambre qui est un gros point positif lit confortable vu au 9e étage exceptionnel sur bank of America les équipements sont très bien l'établissement est très jolie très chaleureux bel accueil et surtout agréablement surpris d'être bien reçu le 25 décembre jour du Merry Christmas En ce qui concerne le petit-déjeuner compris dans la formule une très belle chose nous avons bien profiter de ce moment pour bien manger en ce qui concerne du sucré et du salé il y a du choix et ce qu'il faut merci de nous avoir accueilli et de nous avoir permis de voir un bel établissement dans une très belle ville

Great location. Super staff. Clean and quiet room. Nice breakfast. Totally helpful parking valets. Local architecture is historical and interesting. Several restaurants, fine to rustic, are within walking distance
