Make sure you get a room with a balcony and you are set. The view is fantastic and a wonderful way to wake up every day. Pools and beach are gorgeous. All very chilled out even on busy nights. Recommended.

We came to this hotel with our seven year old son and overall would highly recommend this hotel. We arrived a few hours earlier than check in time however after an hour they were able to give us a room and we were given courtesy drinks whilst waiting. Room was spacious and the room service was very good with the usual daily cleaning. Room had iron board/iron. There are two swimming pools, not very deep (1.2m) so perfect to children and those that cannot swim too well. The view from the pool is beautiful, overlooking the sea. You can walk down to a private beach which is lovely and swimming in the sea is a must. It’s not deep at all so do check it out. The breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. They have a live section where you can order different types of eggs/omelettes and veg dosa. They have a large variety of fruits, pastries and cakes. Jacklin is very courteous and always has a smile. I cannot fault the restaurant one bit, the service and food was all amazing. We really felt welcomed each morning. The hotel offers daily transport to the Sultan Qaboos mosque and shopping mall as well as the Mutrah shopping centre in the evenings at 5pm. We are so glad we stayed at this hotel and will definitely be returning here in the near future. Thank you to everyone at Crowne Plaza and we hope to you see soon.

We enjoyed all aspects of our stay. It was during Ramadan and they honored this time with respect and dignity. We would recommend this hotel to all who are looking for a stay in Muscat. Food and service were excellent

The standard of service is noticeably high in this hotel. Staff are quietly attentive, helpful, polite and professional with guests and with each other. The rooms are very comfortable and care is paid to details like comfortable beds and pillows. Worth noting the Hotels quiet commitment to cleanliness. Public areas are peaceful and restful. The beach and pool areas are a pleasure. This is a really relaxing and peaceful hotel I am very glad I chose it for my break from the British Winter.

Booked this as a week long stay for my husbands birthday. The hotel is beautiful, in the most perfect place with gorgeous scenery. The hotel is modern and so clean, there is smells of oud as soon as you walk into reception. We had arrived early (9:30am) and were given access to our room within 1 hour which saved us having to wait around for hours which was great. The room was clean and spacious and had everything you need. We had a lovely king bed with the dreamiest pillows, we always fell asleep so quickly due to it being so comfortable! Rooms were cleaned daily and we had the option to change our towels daily or be eco friendly and keep them. Breakfast always had a good selection. As you can only book breakfast with this hotel, it does get expensive when eating or drinking for lunch and dinner. Food and drink outside the hotel are significantly cheaper. Me and my husband took around a 10 minute walk and found 330ml cans of fizzy drinks for 0.25 Omani riyal (approx 50p in GBP) where as the hotel were selling them for 2 Omani riyal (approx £4!). Pool area was lovely, never had trouble finding a sun bed, even in the afternoon. 2 towels were given by the towel stand without even having to give your room key. Restaurants were very expensive. Buffet had theme nights all week instead of generic buffet which made meals repetitive if you didn’t like the theme night food. Download IHG app and become a member for discounts off your meals! I couldn't fault the place. The staff were brilliant and the restaurants, bars and facilities were very good. If there was one downside it would be that there isn't much in walking distance outside the hotel but that is the same for just about every hotel in Muscat and it's a lot better placed than some of the really expensive ones. In fact i would say the views from here are the best in the city. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to some places and the taxis at the hotel are plentiful and cheaper than hailing one from the street. Overall the hotel is up there with the best in Muscat.
