Positives: Clean rooms and bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities in room, helpful staff, good variety in buffet breakfast, refillable drinking water arrangement in room ( environmentally friendly) To be improved: the blinds fixed on the glass wall of the bathroom should be inside the glass .. to ensure proper privacy, room amenities are basic Overall - a decent family friendly hotel

Very welcoming hotel, beautifully located with plenty of things to occupy your time without having to leave the premises, e.g. 2 swimming pools, own beach, tennis courts, etc. Food quality is at a high standard

"Not impressed "

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The carpets were stained and the rooms were musty - which they attempted to cover up with a terrible air freshener. The cafe had odd hours, trying to force you into purchasing the expensive buffet meals. There were no cafes or stores nearby so one was a bit stuck. Different staff members told you conflicting information. The beach was nice. Overall I was not pleased with my stay.

We have just returned from our second stay at Crowne Plaza Muscat (first in 2019). This hotel may not enjoy the prestige of Al Bustan but, in our view, it cannot be bettered. Its situation, conveniently placed for access to the airport and all the sights of Muscat; its facilities) two swimming pools, a private beach, tennis courts etc): four restaurants with varied menus and absolutely top quality and reliable cuisine; but, above all, the staff: friendly, interested, ever-helpful, unfailingly cheerful. A fabulous holiday and a hotel beyond praise. Oh, and the sunsets are better than at Al Bustan - don't miss them.
