Hotel Felix River North/Magnificent Mile

The hotel is dated and tired. I was quite shocked by the price in relation to the quality of the hotel. My room as also not cleaned once during the 4 days stay. I was informed at the end that this is hotel policy and cleaning must be requested. However this is not made clear anywhere other than by communicating with the front desk. For $400 a night I did not expect to have to request cleaning services. Chicago is an expensive city, so that price is what it is, but there are many better options.

The Lobby was nice, small but enough. The provided gratis coffee in the morning, which was much appreciated, The room furniture was a bit tired but adequate (specifically the desk had seen better days). Mattress was comfortable. Linens and pillows were comfortable. The bathrobe was a nice touch.

Ambience is superb

After check out this hotel deducted amount without any concerned. while, they told me that at the time of check out that Zero charges. Perhaps Hotel charged me amount. So, i need refund deducted amount ASAP.

Didn't need one but room could have a fridge.

We had an appalling stay. We arrived late-ish - around 11pm - due to a delayed flight. Only to discover the hotel had over-sold the rooms. They did not have the room we had booked - and paid for - (a king bed on high floor) as they had sold it. Instead we were put in a tiny room with a Queen bed, not much more than a store cupboard. The staff were largely unapologetic and did not seem to really care. They suggested that - if we had arrived much later - all the rooms would have been occupied and we would have had to go elsewhere. It was astonishing. Others guests arrived to check-in after us, and were told there were no rooms available. The staff offered us some drinks tokens (which were already supposed to come with my booking!) and to waive the urban fee for one night. No real apology. No compensation. No offer to refund the difference. The next day, after repeatedly going to the desk to raise it, we managed to move to the room we had booked, but staff were not very helpful in making this happen. Overall a shocking and terrible experience. I would strongly recommend people DO NOT STAY there.

everything.Maryna always make sure that my stay at the FELIX HOTEL is wonderful.She offers me hot chocolate in the winter time and coca cola and a muffin in the summer time and she makes sure I get upgraded from a queen room to a king room that's why I always come to the FELIX HOTEL because it fits my budget and its close to my house.I wouldn't sleep at any other hotel in Chicago.The Felix hotel staff is great.
