"After a Long, Hard Day, a Restful Experience"

A little bit older property but well kept. Wonderful beds/sheets, HOT water (great shower), very nice team members who are very helpful. There's a lot of competition in the West Des Moines area but they can be hit or miss, so we always count on the Marriott brand to take care of us. (I don't have any affiliation with Marriott companies, I promise)

The property was close to family, shopping and restaurants. Easy drive to airport at 5 am . As it was the night of the time change I called the front desk and asked for a 4 am wake up call in the event my phone didn't change times properly. We did not receive the requested wake up call.

There was no breakfast

The property is in bad shape. Not what we expected from a courtyard. Room was dirty, furniture had large scratches, rusted and broken bathroom fixtures. We brought guests and we were embarrassed. As we wondered why things were not better, we passed a room with housekeeping staff having a pillow fight. Hazardous slippery area by front entrance left unaddressed. We are unlikely to stay at a Marriott again, as standards have fallen pretty low.
