Ryokan MOTONAGO

조용하고 기온거리에서도 가깝습니다. 다들 너무 친절하시고, 너무나 깨끗한 숙소입니다. 공용으로 쓰는 욕실이라 살짝 걱정했지만, 너무너무 깔끔하고 좋았습니다. 피로를 싹 풀고 갑니다!

Incredible ryokan experience in Kyoto! So close to Gion! Beautiful, hospitable hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Delicious breakfast. Private onsen was just amazing. Would definitely recommend!

公式サイトに、朝食が必要かはチェックイン時に伝えるように掲載されていたが、チェックイン時には翌日朝食は満席で出せないと言われました。 朝食が出せないとわかっていたら、他の宿にしたかったです。 なので、当日チェックイン前にでも早めに朝食を必要であることを電話で伝えておけばよかったです。 三連休で当日に、宿変更をすることも厳しかったので朝食なしで仕方なく泊まりました。

Je rêvais de dormir une nuit dans un ryokan... C'est fait. Tout était parfait, et le personnel aux petits soins avec nous. Une expérience unique et extraordinaire !

I was truly transported to a time of tradition and harmony. The location was spectacular - right in the historic part of town surrounded by heritage buildings, shrines and temples - all accessed by tiny windy streets and stairs. The inn (ryokan) itself was impeccably kept, and every last detail was considered, from the robe and slippers you where, to the traditional breakfast and dinner served in your room. Make SURE you book the bath house every morning and every evening - it was so relaxing and transformative - you could pay half the price of the room just for this experience elsewhere. Here it is included. The staff were attentive and considerate from the very first minute and throughout the stay. Highly recommended.

This was a superb traditional experience for us - a highlight of our trip. We stayed one night and found the staff to be so helpful and considerate. The public bath can be booked so a couple can use it together, and we booked a traditional Japanese breakfast which was wonderful and served in our room. Definitely recommend this experience to couples or singles travelling to Kyoto to make the most of the Japanese hospitality away from the main tourist strips.

決して街のど真ん中ではないのですが、食べてから15分程度歩いて帰れる場所だったので、散歩好きにはとってもいいと思います。 トイレなどは共有、お風呂も時間制と、ちょっと民宿っぽいですが、接客も丁寧だし、居心地よく過ごせました。毎日お布団の上においてあるおりがみや、茶菓子が毎日違うといった細かい気遣いに、ぬくもりを感じるいい宿でshちあ。

The hotel was great in the sense of authenticity, service, attention to details and location. We do find Motonago as a good choice of location for whom wants to lnow more about Japanese culture. We are being well taken care by all the hotel staffs. We do enjoy the “private steam bath”
