Best Western Lake Cumberland Inn

Smell of mold and mildew could be smelled as you walk into your room. Not alot of ait coming from the "air conditioner". Mold could be seen above the shower on the ceiling and around the vent fan in the bathroom. Shower was extremely slippery. A family member fell in the bathtub. Several other family members had a hard time standing still while taking a shower. Night shift workers could be seen laying down behind the desk, on their phone, not paying attention to when customers arrive.

Expedia booked us 2 rooms. We couldn't use 2 rooms and the place was full with people waiting for rooms so we asked them to cancel our 2nd reservation. They resold the 2nd room but wouldn't refund our money. Very shady and dishonest.

Breakfast was fine. It was stocked well and was clean.

My room was clean and it was comfortable to sleep, but the hallways were full of smoke from smokers in the other end of the hall. That stuff travels no matter where you put it in a building. I had to put a towel in front of my door to keep some of the smoky smell out. I was very upset about the smell. But, if you’re going to allow smokers, that’s what’s gonna happen. Actually I would rather not have smoking in any building, especially where people are sleeping.

Booked a regular King room thru Hotel's.com. when I arrived for the night, the desk manager said that there were no king rooms available (unless I wanted smoking). Plus she told me I had booked thru Expedia (which I had not). She had a double queen which was ok except we are used to king. She just was not very friendly!

Front desk personnel were excellent. Will stay there again when working in this area.

Clean just starting show wear needs updating!

Only hotel in the area. Older but very nice and comfortable. Bed was a bit hard but otherwise, good place to stay and would stay again. Clerk at desk was very friendly and offered his suggestion for dinner which was great.

The heating and air unit didn’t work properly and the hallway smelled like smoke. The shower also didn’t work properly.
