The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar

The location was great! Right on Duval but on the quieter end. I liked the front porch because it was a great place to relax and drink coffee in the morning. The room was spacious enough for me and had all the typical amenities. No complaints from me!

Location, bar and bar staff.

Room provided was extremely uncomfortable and not what was described in our booking. We literally stayed in what felt like a tool shed. The only window in the bedroom actually looked into the toolshed, tools and all. No natural light at all. The whole room was like an afterthought, tiny, no room for anything let alone guests and luggage. Extremely disappointing. Had a great wrap but for us unfortunately did not deliver.

First time staying at this property and will definitely return. Didn't expect to spend much time at the Rum bar, but the bartenders and the rest of the guests were so much fun! Great base location with as much or as little as you care to do in Key West.

The parking is a little tricky the first time. Entering from the West entrance works best, but hard to know it's there in the dark.

The staff. There is nothing I can say about the staff except fantastic! From the girl in the office that helped us carry our bags to our room, to the people that continually keep the grounds clean, to the personable bar tenders. They have bottled water in the office area and anything you need. Soap, sunscreen, shampoo. Everything except toothpaste which of course we forgot. Lol. The room was comfortable with great air conditioning, a sofa and a kitchenette. Also all the coffee that you need.

Nothing comes to mind except maybe that we were on the second floor. Not good after you drink one of their complimentary Pain Killers. But that was just the luck of availability.
