Stop off on route elsewhere was ok cleanliness could be improved on dining some cutlery was dirty a dinning room , and in corridor items were left all night outside doors or glasses dirty towels etc but probably stay again if on route again

"Great overnight stop! "

This hotel was a fab find! The value for money is excellent! £69 for a double room with breakfast! The hotel was clean, quiet, not too big, and the breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend it for an overnight or short stay to explore the area.

Ideal location off the A1, can’t fault the facilities. The separate toilet in the room is a excellent feature and look forward to the restaurant next door opening soon

Small Cozy Holiday Inn, serves a full English breakfast thats okay. Booked a family room and a standard room, but got 2 family rooms, which was a bonus

"Not the best"

Well I have stayed in a lot of holiday inns over there years, and I can honestly say this has been the worst experience I have ever had. The rooms are so dated. But that is not the issue, the real problem lies with the staff and the quality of the food and service. Tonight I ordered some chicken wings to be followed by a pizza from the specials. I waited 48 mins for the chicken wings witch I might add where very nice. I then received my pizza within 10 min of my wings being served , even though I asked for them to be served as a starter and then a main course. The service here is absolutely appalling the staff really do not give a dam about there guests and the food is only passable at best. Very disappointed.

"Show night"

We arrived to not very happy reception staff, quick enough to take payment, first room in photos, second room carpet wasn’t great but tied and cba..went to show got back went bed, got up for breakfast which wasn’t great bacon hard coffee machine broke, all and all wasn’t very hot… Then left for home…

"Poor"

Rude staff. Asked about something that was requested in my booking that wasn't provided when I arrived and was spoken to in a disgraceful way. Cold food. Breakfast was stone cold and not nice at all. Made us all feel sick afterwards Rooms are tiny
