Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Orange by IHG

Hotel was a bit overpriced for the condition it is in. Looks well used. Our King Suite room was a great size, but a few issues: water in both tub and sink was slow to drain, fire detector was hanging off the wall by a few wires, tub was stained -- it's just run down. On the plus side, the person checking us in was very friendly. Room had plenty of places to plug in your electronics - both USB and electrical outlets.

The rooms were clean and adequate. The price was a little steep, but affordable. The breakfast was just a cold, continental type breakfast.

Easy check-in and great staff, nice modern feel and clean room.

I am a seasoned traveler who has experienced the spectrum of lodging accommodations. This trip was solo travel to check on the status of an older family member during Covid-19. My stay consisted of four (4) nights lodging. Although the Holiday Inn Express & Suites is located off I-10 (Exit 877), it is nestled back from the service road providing quiet from the rumble of a traveled Interstate and offers an element of exclusivity and safety. Upon approach to the entrance of the hotel, the landscaping was maintained, and everything was green and lush. Upon check-in, I glanced around the lobby. Not the chandelier effect; however, this hotel offered an air of simplified sophistication. The well-executed planning in task circulation made it easy to circulate throughout this facility. Face masks were available at the front desk, if needed, and Social Distancing floor stickers allowed the practice to follow with ease. The tabletop surfaces and furniture upholstery were clean, and no signs of debris or greasy smear marks noted. The “Covid” clean environment continued into my king bedroom. My room accommodation was well tended by the cleaning crew. The bed, pillows and sheets were clean and extremely comfortable. My bath towels were quite fluffy, and all needed amenities were available and working. The quality of television stations available were varied and current to view. There was ALWAYS ice available in the ice maker. The swimming pool was clean, as was the surrounding pool areas. The complete full staff was spectacular. There was ALWAYS a staff member available to assist the guests day and night. The front staff, Jack, Meredith, Trinity, and Arlene each went beyond the call of duty to meet my needs and make my stay comfortable. The rooms were not like they looked online but bed was comfortable yet the carpet felt wet in my room . This was nothing like the usual Holiday Inn Express . I was very disappointed
