Pool and hot tub were shut down. Sign on the door said the department of health shut the pool area down until further notice.

When I got there and checked in I made mention to the desk clerk that I hoped the room was on the first floor. As I had just spent 2 12 hour days riding my motorcycle and didn't have the energy to climb the 2 flights of stairs. So she switched my room from the second floor to the ground floor. Which I truly appreciated her doing. However when I got into my room I discovered that there was a coffee stain on the carpet right under the edge of the desk. Then as I was getting out of the shower when I pulled the blow dryer out of it's holder on the wall the holder nearly came out of the wall. I colud see very clearly that someone had tried to use an over-sized drywall anchor to repair damage done at an earlier time and it was a VERY lackluster attempt. Then this morning while talking to my wife on the phone and describing the room I noticed what appeared to be at least a months build up of dust on the clothes cabinet along with very obvious water damage to the particleboard top of the cabinet. When I mentioned it while checking out the morning desk clerk explained that they had recently obtained an industrial strength carpet cleaner and all of the rooms would be having the carpets steam cleaned and if the stains didn't come out they would be the next rooms to be remodeled and have the carpets replaced. Also she wasn't aware of the problem with the blow dryer. But would let maintenance know about it. Hopefully she wasn't just blowing smoke.

I think once their remodel finishes this would be a hotel worth staying at. The only reason this gets 2 stars is because the staff was so friendly, the hot tub was hot and pool area was clean, and the beds were comfy. It is also in a very convenient area. The bad outweighed the good, however. BEWARE that this is not a modern hotel... it is old/rundown, there is a smell as soon as you pass the lobby, and it is generally in bad condition. Due to remodel, the fitness area was closed. The wifi hardly worked, and the breakfast was free but not very good. The toilet in our room leaked, and the curtains did not close. The peep hole to our room was sort of jiggly and after inspecting closer we realized that we could pull it right out of the door if we unscrewed it. We already requested a different room after getting one of the hot tub suites (that's another story) so we just stuck with the room we got. I would never stay here with kids again. Not a bad place to stay if you're looking for something on the cheaper side, or if you just need somewhere to lay your head at night, but other than that... I'd stay away until the remodel is done.

Property is run down. They seem to be remodeling. Not the room we had. Very old. Bathroom was dirty

The Bar area is great! The staff awesome. The Hotel itself needs upkeep or renovations. Convenient location.

The room was nice and spacious and accommodating . . . but, for whatever reason, the electrical outlets in the room did not power our electronics -- our PAP machines, our cell phone chargers.... Also, we couldn't figure out the AC system -- had to have someone from the office help.

A/C did not work and they refused to give us a different room.

I would stay again!

Very smelly, dirty, breakfast was terrible. no option. same thing 2 days in a row. the only thing nice is the pool.

The room air conditioner did not operate. The outside temperature that day was near 100 degrees F. There was not another room available and no maintenance sevices were offered. A fan was given to us and we opened the door to the hallway to blow cooler air into our room. The fan blowing and the elevated temperatures made for a very uncomfortable sleep for the four guests. There were not adequate number of towels or pillows for the registered number of guests. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel.
