One night in Normandy on tour of northern France

Lovely hotel right on the beach and close to many Shops and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing.

The front desk staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and the renovations /updates were apparent! Our room was nice and clean, but there were two problems. First, our toilet was located in a small closet just after entering the room, but there is no sink in the closet. We had to walk around to the big bathroom to wash our hands hater using the toilet. It was a bit strange. Second, the temperature of the water in the shower would only get warm. I like a hot shower, so I was disappointed in that regard.

I was driving from the UK to Bordeaux and stopped overnight here. I was so pleased I found this gem. The staff were so friendly and accomdating. The room was very large with great views and a very comply bed. There was a sitting area in front of large windows that opened up and the bathroom had great amenities. I had room service as I arrived very late and breakfast in my room in the morning and it was all lovely. I look forward to going back again when the weather is hotter!

We had an incredible time at this hotel. An old hotel with beautiful rooms, wonderful service and on an incredible beach that strethches for miles both ways and in low tide leaves 500 feet of sand before the water. We stayed in a garden room. As well as a suite overlooking the beach. One of the best hotels I've stayed at.

An American family visiting the Normandy coast for the 1st time - it was a great experience thanks to the central location of the hotel, as we went west one day, and east on the other. The hotel is classically beautiful, the staff always polite and helpful - and the breakfast selections were thoughtful - all delightfully consistent. We' ll be back!

Bad mattress spoiled our stay in this otherwise excellent hotel

Had a good stay at this hotel. Breakfast is awesome, good selection, and friendly helpful staff. Property is right on beach and steps from market, restaurant.

Great, older hotel which has lovely features throughout. Great location for Normandy and Bayeux and Caen and of course the beaches and museums. Same old gripe. Restaurant looked good but too expensive so we took our business elsewhere . Why do hotels lose business like that? All in all , very pleasant stay.

Le Grand Hotel Cabourg has a turn of the century ambiance in the public areas, but the rooms are up to date with very chic somewhat Art Deco style furnishings. The location on the boardwalk couldn't be better.
