Old Manse Hotel

The owner made us very welcome at the outset, especially our little dog. The bedroom was clean and tidy overlooking the garden. Everything we could have needed was provide, even caramel wafers instead of the usual biscuits. Lovely range of drinks including hot chocolate. Breakfast was well worth waiting for, although we had only been sitting for a few minutes before it arrived cooked to perfection. The charming dining room was an added bonus. The charming owner let us leave our car in the car park as we were going on the YMR before leaving for home. Such was our welcome to this great hotel we will definitely return!

Great stay for short break in this area. Lovely old building near centre. Very quiet and owners are lovely and very accommodating.

The old manse hotel is very friendly , homely , cosy hotel , in the beautiful town of Pickering , Yorkshire . Rooms generous size , bed very comfortable , tea /coffee facility all toiletry products in the bathroom . Breakfast Full English to" die for " totally set us up for the day Would defiantly use this Hotel again .

An excellent hotel, a nice welcome from all the staff, a beautiful room 3 with towels changed daily. Ample car parking, lovely gardens, lovely dog, and a nice, bright breakfast room. And Pickering is a nice, peaceful town. No faults at all. Thanks Val.

Thank you Valerie for making us and Oakley so welcome in your beautiful home. From the moment we arrived to the minute we departed you were just so lovely and helpful. Your breakfast was so tasty, all fresh and top quality. The young lady serving us was also very polite and very professional. Again nothing was too much trouble with a seamless supply of our breakfast selections. Even informing us what coffee my husband was drinking as he liked it so much, We stayed in the fantastic room 3 with a delightful view out over the rear garden. Everything was spotlessly clean and we could not have wished for anything more. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. We shall return later in the year. THANK YOU again, Emma, Dean and Oakley xx

Went to the Old Manse in pickering for an overnight stay with husband. Hotel is minutes away from center of pickering with pubs, Restaurants, shops etc. The hotel was spotlessly clean, breakfast was really good quality, lots of options. You chose breakfast items day before and time you want to eat and then come down to breakfast. Host was very friendly, will definately go back when I the area.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for a night —perfect location for FlamingoLand. We were greeted warmly at the hotel. An extra bed was accommodated for us in the room. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast with a variety of options. Netflix too! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again :)

From start to finish staying at the old manse was a delight . Val welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner.the room was lovely clean and warm with a very good bed Good selection of things for a hot brew And the breakfast was fantastic a real quality full English cooked to perfection and piping hot we also had local kippers delish we cant wait to stay again ps very dog friendly 😋

We had a fantastic 1 night stay here. Val, the host, was super friendly and welcoming. She couldn't do enough for us and made a lovely breakfast. The location is great, 5mins walk into town and ideally situated for exploring the Yorkshire moors, towns and coastlines.

The location was ideal and the town of Pickering was very charming with a surprising number of interesting attractions. There was a castle, a museum and, the point of the trip, a now famous classic car auction site (Matthewsons).
