Fairlawn House

Not much but it was within walking distance of the place we were visiting. Sorry but there was nothing else we liked about the Fairlawn House.

We were not given a code for the front door and it was lucky somebody was at reception to let us in. The breakfast was continental style but very little to select from. The butter/spread and jam were in a container or jar for all people to share, this cannot be very hygienic. There were no staff available at breakfast to help with the coffee machine that nobody knew how to work. The room we were given was shabby and quite dark. The hotel was not value for money.

No private parking, parking was in a public car park behind the accommodation, and was very limited on space No aircon, on the hottest day of the year made for a sleepless night No staff on site to help with problems like moving room etc Breakfast was a serve yourself affair of toast and cereals etc

Very central. Easy parking and near electric charge point. Excellent breakfast.

The room was too hot ( exceptionally hot weekend) and the window was painted shut.

Good location, friendly staff.

No light in the dining area at breakfast.
